Hello, My name is Zach and I perform solo viola for any arrangement of get-together. I also play in a quartet that can travel too! I've played for weddings, award ceremonies, and talent shows! Just contact me and your event's music will be taken care of.

Gig Length: 15 - 240 minutes
I play unaccompanied Bach movements(or pop if you'd like) and can either perform standing up or sitting down. The musical performance can either be featured in front of an audience or can be set aside as side music. The most appropriate setting for a classical violist to play at is typically a large formal gathering so that people can hear in the background and say "This is a nice gathering, look at the viola player playing in the corner!" Ask me what you'd like me to do, and I'll do it!
My name is Zachary Kessler and I attend Florida State University during the Fall/Spring semesters and live in Dallas over the summer. I currently study Viola Performance and have had 8 years experience of performing. Throughout high school I've been named Viola Section Leader for many youth and community orchestras, namely the Lone Star Youth Orchestra, Arlington Youth Symphony and others. At Florida State I've performed with many different groups from quartet performances at local churches to being on stage with the University Philharmonia Orchestra in the Ruby Diamond Auditorium and the Tallahassee Composers Orchestra in the Opperman Music Hall. I graduated top 3% of my high school class of 550 and received the honor of winning an Ice Award from Irving Independent School District in the subject of Fine Arts for being named to the Texas All-State String Orchestra.
Outside of playing the viola I have a lot of fun hobbies that keep me occupied. I enjoy to play ping pong at our local rec center, I love to run track, and I am very active in my church. I play the guitar for our praise team at the church. Besides hobbies, I also very much enjoy mathematics, as I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in pure mathematics. During the school year I tutor math part time at local community colleges, so if you ever need help with math, let me know! All in all, I love life and do my best to enjoy every moment of it. Thanks for reading this far, and don't forget to contact me!
Cannot play outside in the rain of course, but can manage anywhere else. I prefer to have a chair while I play, but it's up to you!
Any classical music that fits the setting.
Quartets at weddings are a nice formal accent, and I try my best to provide the same sort of show.
Chair if necessary(for long performances)
