Easy to work with and great services provided!

Excellent Repitourie!

I hired Zach for my wedding to play before the ceremony and for the precessional and recessional. We asked for some specific songs and Zach was able to play everything we asked for and more! We were very happy with everything and his music sounded amazing!

What to expect

I perform for a variety of functions, so what you can expect overall is a professional level of preparedness and flexibility.

For my weddings, I play all types of genres, including learning new songs if a client requests me to do so. Some popular songs that I have played include Sweet Child of Mine, Thousand Years, and a large variety of contemporary Christian covers.

About

Zachary Graft has been playing violin and Irish fiddle since the age of 10. Currently working on his Master’s of Music degree in Violin Performance at Michigan State University, Zachary graduated with a Bachelor’s of Music degree from Grand Valley State University. Throughout his collegiate training, Zachary has maintained a private teaching studio, performed at countless weddings, and enjoys playing Irish music when he can. He also performs on the mandolin and octave mandolin.
His most notable musical achievement was when he won the Audience Prize at the 2013 White Lake Chamber Music Festival Young Artists’ competition. He has been nominated twice for a (link hidden) “Shammy” award for favorite solo Irish performer.
He has recently played at the 2021 Peoria Irish Festival.
He resides in the Jenison, Michigan area with his wife and two kids.

Additional booking notes

Primarily booked as a solo musician. I am comfortable playing completely acoustic, mic'd, or even bringing a full sound system set up and electric violin.

For DJ gigs, ample power and set up space is required, but we'll discuss that on a case by case basis.

Can play most any song/genre on request.

For a classical recital: Expect to hear some solo violin works such as Telemann's 12 Fantasies for Solo violin, and a collection of other works (for classical bookings, a pianist can be provided for an additional charge).

Celtic or other folk music bookings, I will generally play a variety of uptempo tunes as well as some more melodic airs and songs.
