About

Patrick is a combination of Latino pride, American drive, rhythm and caffeine. He has performed to
over 300,000 people across the USA, Canada, Mexico and Germany. He even danced in a mall food
court much to the embarrassment of his friend. In 2012 his programs were named a "Best Practice" by the Louisiana Air
National Guard Family and Youth Programs.

Both his books "Mad Skills for Student Success" and "Bully Breakthrough" have been
assets to teens across the country. He is currently working on a third book entitled
"From Me to We" in collaboration with Dr. Raphael Travis from Texas State University.

When not traveling Patrick is busy rock wall climbing, checking out hole-in-the-wall
restaurants, kayaking, driving his friends crazy with board games, dancing it up in Salsa clubs
and trying to get married so his mom will quit harassing him!

Logistics
The following audio/visual and staging requests are designed to enhance the audience's enjoyment of Patrick's program. The best speech can be undermined by equipment or room setup problems, so please discuss any changes in the room and audio/visual setup with us beforehand. Patrick will arrive approximately 45 minutes prior to your event.
Microphone: Wireless Handheld Preferred or a regular ground mic with at least 50’ of cord
1 chair
Audio: Patrick uses a variety of music for his keynote presentations.
Patrick will require a portable PA system compatible with RCA Adapter Cables set up in the area of the assembly approximately 40’-50’ away from the audience.
Lighting: A bright, well-lighted platform will enhance the energy level for the .
event.
Flooring: Break dancing is an extreme dance form that is beautiful to watch provided adequate space is provided. Please ensure that the floor is free of debris (a good sweeping always does the trick), and the dimensions are at least 16’ x 16’. Carpet and concrete are not favorable locations! Non-slippery floors strongly encouraged.
Audience set-up: If the assembly is to be held in the gymnasium please keep all students to one side of the gym and together. Teachers must sit with the students (it cuts down on mischievous behavior).
Recording: Audio/video taping is encouraged with Patrick's PRIOR WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION. If you're interested in taping Patrick's presentation, please contact Patrick at (phone number hidden) or through the “Contact” page
Volunteers: Each program will entail the use of several volunteers from the audience. It is up to the client’s discretion whether or not volunteers are to be pre-selected. Experience has shown that the more outgoing and lively the volunteers are the better the audience’s response.
Water: A dry mouth is a speaker’s worst enemy. Help fight the war on dry mouth by providing Patrick with 2 bottles of room temperature water.
Resource table: Following each assembly Patrick will have resources (books, posters, etc) available that can be of value to your students and teachers. Please allow for a 5’x8’ to be used for these resources. You may wish to let students know that Patrick will have products for sale so they may plan accordingly.

Testimonials

"Patrick’s approach to middle school problems and struggles was memorable; the kids are still speaking on his presentation. The connections that were made with his own life experiences made it that much more impactful.Bullying, and transitioning goals and expectations. The idea of transitioning to the high schools for our 8th grade became more than just something that will happen next year. It is now in their scope, and they are now taking 8th grade more serious. We selected Patrick because we felt his message for our student body will be far greater than speakers we had in the past. The fact that he uses music and dance as a catalyst can keep anyone focused on the purpose at hand. And he’s just plain awesome. Patrick had the ability to touch the hearts of students as well as faculty and staff. I wish to speak with Patrick about coming to speak to our high school students next year."

– L. Liest

"He was fantastic! He was full of energy and life; a very positive message and wonderful role model. Many of our students are apathetic and need motivation on the topic of goal setting. A search on the internet led us to Patrick. Patrick helped them set goals and develop a strategy for accomplishing their goals. Schedule him! Now!"

– C. Lybarger

"Patrick was very energetic and had a great connection with the kids. His message was very on point and appropriate for the age group. He was able to inspire the kids and give them advice which can be applied to their every day lives. The audiences were also engaged throughout his entire presentation. Engaging, flexible and friendly. Patrick rolled with our last-minute schedule changes and kept our kids engaged from the start. He also helped MC our event by backing up behavioral expectations. Patrick knows how to connect with kids. He shares his story in an engaging way and follows standard 21st century drug prevention-you do not tell students what to do.He went above and beyond."

– A. Neiderpreum

"More than 5,900 nationwide members, advisers, alumni, and guests of FCCLA gathered in Nashville to celebrate this year’s student-developed theme, “Beyond the Label.” Patrick Perez served as a general session speaker, as well as a youth workshop presenter. His performance was energetic, lively, and engaging for both students and advisers. Patrick used dance to motivate the audience to express themselves as individuals and go ‘beyond labels’. Patrick demonstrated the power of positive action through dance, and empowered our members with a sense of self. I would recommend him as an energetic and relatable presenter for any youth audience."
