Born on July 26, 1984. Young H moved to Long Beach, California in 1988. From Cali-Maryland at 5-6 years old. Hemoved a lot due to his parents lifestyle, they both sold drugs. They moved back to MD where they were both eventually arrested. His mother for smuggling drugs from BWI to LAX in 1989-90. and his father was arrested for second degree murder.
H grew up in the urban neighborhoods of Annapolis, MD. The first was a public housing project called 'Robinwood ', where his father pops was also raised. Then by the 1st grade him and his family had moved to another noturious hood called Annapolis Gardens aka 'Da Onion'. Considered a problem child all the way up until 1995 when H would recieve the blessing of his mother being released from prison. During that year H decided to pick up a lost hobby of his, designing clothes, while managing to pick up a love for writing also.
Shortly after his Mom was released from jail she died from Lupus. This tragedy soon gave birth to H writing poems about his life and feelings.
In 1998 his dad was released from prison just 5 days before his Grandmother died of a seizure. The death forced his siblings to move to Glen Burnie, MD, with there Aunt and Uncle.
By the year 2000 Young H made his way back to Annapolis with his father when his uncle Belly was arrested for drugs trafficking. In 2002 he created a clothing line called Banco Pop Exclusives. In 2003 with a bright future in the clothing industry he decided to recruit his talented younger cousin and future band member Comacel, better known as Cell Spitfire.
Using profits from the clothing Cell decided to invest in building a home studio where they all recorded songs on a regular basis,. H, already having a knack for writing music saw his opportunity to do more music. He soon dropped his first solo song and that was the platform for his self titled debut album and stage name 'Young H “The Great”.
Later in 2003 just when things were starting to looki positive for H, hisis father was murdered by a friend of 12 years in Annapolis, MD. By the fall of 2003 H erolled in to college and attended the art institute of Philladelphia. H spent two semesters there before dropping out and heading back home to Annapolis.
On Sept. 11, 2004 the reunited group Keep It Raw released there first official compilation. volume 1. It spread like a wild fire throughout MD, D.C., Philly, Delaware, and N.Y. The following summer H was blessed with the birth of his first child, a son named Cameron that was followed by the release of his first solo project “Independence Day.”
Now several years later Young H is still in pursuit of his dreams, continuously putting out projects and branding his clothing line.
