I read the room, adjust the energy as needed, and keep the dance floor active without forcing anything. For weddings, I coordinate with your planner, photographer, and venue staff so the flow stays tight and you don’t have to worry about what happens next.

Every event is different, so the setup and music are built around your needs and your space. Whether it’s a wedding, private party, or corporate event, the goal is the same: deliver a polished, enjoyable experience that sounds great and runs smoothly.

I’ve been a DJ for more than 30 years, starting with vinyl in the early 80s and working my way through house parties, school events, clubs, and eventually weddings and large private events throughout Northern California. Music has been a part of my life since childhood, and that early passion turned into a long-running career built on real mixing skills, dependable service, and a strong focus on creating a great experience for every client.

Over the years I’ve worked hundreds of weddings and a wide range of corporate events, community celebrations, and nightlife venues. I’m comfortable with every style of music and mix it the way it should be mixed clean, smooth, and timed to keep the energy right for the room. I still use turntable style equipment because I enjoy the hands-on feel of DJing and the connection it creates with the music.

What matters most to me is giving you a professional, organized, and memorable event. I bring the same level of preparation and attention to detail whether it’s a small ceremony, a big reception, or a corporate function. My goal is simple: make the planning easy and deliver a soundtrack that fits your day.

My setup is flexible and works for most venues, indoors or outdoors. Here’s what I typically need to deliver a smooth event:

- Power (I can bring portable power upon request, charges may apply)

- One dedicated 15–20 amp outlet for the DJ booth

- A second outlet if lighting is added

- Outlets should be within 25–50 feet of the setup area

Space

- Minimum setup area: 9 ft wide × 6 ft deep

- Larger space needed if you add lighting or ceremony sound

- A flat, stable surface (no soft ground or uneven flooring)

Access

- Direct load-in access to the setup area is appreciated but will work around details.

- If the venue has stairs or long load-in paths, advance notice helps with planning

- Early entry for setup (standard)

Ceremony Sound (if booked)

- Separate power access near the ceremony area is NOT required. (A battery pack for the ceremony system is commonly carried)

- Space for placing speakers and microphones

- A shaded or weather-protected location for outdoor ceremonies. (If one cant be provided let us know in advance)

Lighting (if added)

- Additional power for uplighting or dancefloor effects. (We carry a wide variety of extension cords if necessary and also carry a battery pack if needed)

- Adequate room around the dancefloor for safe placement of lighting stands

- I can provide clean, low-profile setups for formal events

- All sound and lighting equipment is professional-grade

- Backup gear is always on hand
