In between songs is a message of positivity. Since the inception of his stage show, WordPlay T. Jay, has presented a performance that is appropriate to that audience.
In the past, he has performed for ages 16 and up. Sets average from 20 minutes to 1 hour depended on the needs.
WordPlay T. Jay has a background in radio, therefore hosting and speaking are also skills that the artist possesses.

WordPlay T. Jay started in Little Rock, AR with his first airplay on local station Hot 96.5. The station played his song "The South" which was voted "Hottest in the Rock"
Weeks later he met Russell Simmons at a Def Jam scouting event. His demo wasn't taken, but he was told to keep going. 2 months later he started On the Map Music Group.
In 2010, WordPlay T. Jay released his first retail single, "Breakfast & Biggie". The song gained the attention of Sway & Ja Rule. These veterans brought WordPlay T. Jay into the game and catapulted his career. He decided to leave college and pursue his passion full time. At that point, the journey got much more difficult. He faced a series of pitfalls while touring and ended back at home with his parents.

WordPlay T. Jay released his first retail album in 2013, called 72701 Stories. After he followed up with his 2014 release, The Cycle. That release sparked a change in him to find a purpose to making music.
That purpose became realized when he began making, “Music for the Underdog”
In that process, WordPlay T. Jay opened up for Wax, MGK, and Pep Lava of the Hieroglyphics
2016 - Present
In 2016, he stuck to this purpose and released Job Application. This album focused on bringing motivation to those who feel like they aren't living out their purpose. WordPlay T. Jay converses with his parents about finding a dream job. In that conversation, he realizes that the only way to live out one’s dream is to act and be patient.
Soon after the album was released he stuck to this purposed and collaborated with Futuristic on a song called “Bubble”, which is his biggest song to date. The single lit a fire in him to double down on his new mantra.
He began a monthly series of releasing music to talk to his core audience called Orientation Day. In this series, WordPlay T. Jay explores the change in orientation of his mind, music business, connection with the fans, and habits. He learns to truly connect and follow his pursuit of helping the Underdog.
WordPlay TJay's performance requires a DJ, PA equipment, 1-2 Wireless Microphones, Stage Monitors, & a sound engineer to monitor the sound of the event.
WordPlay T. Jay requires a merchandise table and a trustworthy attendant for that space.
Staging is a preference yet optional.
Lighting is also preferred but optional. If the area is dimly lit additional lighting should be considered.
