About

From cafeteria cyphers to hosting his own shows, Willywill The Poet is a voice born from adversity, sharpened by experience, and fueled by vision. Hailing from Mobile, Alabama, Willywill's journey began with childhood dreams of grand performances and a voice that refused to be silenced—even in a town where creativity came second to conformity. After relocating to Clermont, Florida, his artistic journey ignited through songwriting, performance battles, and self-taught hustle, eventually earning him the name “The Poet” after a spontaneous moment in a lunchroom freestyle.

As a founding member of Anechoic Birds, he developed a deep passion not only for performance but for the business and structure behind the music. Through setbacks, relocations, and reinventions, Willywill built a legacy rooted in authenticity, community, and resilience. From inspiring fans like Val who mailed his lyrics to studios, to performing emotionally charged pieces that left audiences in tears, his career has been marked by unforgettable moments of impact.

Willywill’s performances are more than spoken word—they’re revelations. With every poem, he carries his past, his purpose, and his people. Whether he's rocking a classroom, church, bowling alley, or stage, Willywill delivers raw truth, spiritual depth, and lyrical power.

Now stepping fully into the spotlight, he declares with boldness:
“I AM THE POET.”
