About

Michael Rainer aka Wildmann is a Musician/Producer Progressive Soul Funk artist out St. Louis Missouri. He became a bassist at the early age of 4 years old. His influences were his grandfather William Rainer Sr, mother Jewell Rainer and his uncle William Rainer Jr. His music career began at an early age playing quartet music with his family. Singing in churches all over the state of Missouri. He and his brother Kenneth Lawrence started singing duets at different services every Sunday. Thrilling the congregation with their amazing voices and gift of playing the bass guitar and drums and singing at the same time. In 1987 their mother Jewell Rainer put a group together called the Brother's In Christ. Members the late (Pookey) Jerome Lane, Antonio White, Kenneth Lawrence, Jermell Rainer and Wildmann. They've toured all over and performed in excellence. They were a hype driving group that took the world by storm. 1990 Wildmann began to Play the bass guitar in studio session and live recording. He's done sessions with Levi King Jr, David Catrone, Mike Harper, Keisha Beckton, Rainey and Jewell and United for Christ Choir and many more. 1995 Wildmann crossed over from gospel and he began to sing R&B soul. He became more than just a bassist. He became an Alternative Soul artist. Where he took it to another chapter of being great in what he does. His sound was raspy and funky with a church feel of his root's quartet. Wildmann became a St. Louis icon with his soulful funk sound. It was denying that he was a trendsetter in everything that he does. He's had the opportunity to open up play for and tour with. Jodeci, Dwele, Jill Scott, Dru Hill, Next, John Legend, Tweet, Rahsaan Patterson, Lala Hathaway, Carl Thomas, Alexander O'Neal, Kim Burrel, Nelly, J-Kwon, Keite Young, Joy, Algebra, Eric Roberson, Anthony David, Balil Olver and many more. 1999 Wildmann formed Afrocentric Gospel group called Wildmann &The Soul Rebels. They've recorded their first album All About God and it was a great success.2004 Wildmann played bass and guitar on grammy nominated J-Kwon with the Track Boys which was number 2 on the Billboard Hott 100. Hood Hop (Tipsy) (You and Me). Wildmann career took off from there and he became one of St. Louis greatest producer and musician. 2006 Wildmann became associated with Hidden Beach Records and also became one of the speakers at the Soul Summit in Atlanta Georgia. His first major album (Man Alive). 2012 Wildmann released his album (I'm Giving Love 1 More Try). January 14, 2014, everyone thought Wildmann music career was over. Wildmann was brutally jumped on and he was in critical condition. The doctor said that he would not be able to sing are play anymore because of his condition. The left side of his skull was crushed. His cheek bone and nose bone were crushed as well. Wildmann was in a coma and on bed rest for months. God allowed him to come back around and live. God had more work for him to do. Wildmann released his testimony album (I Got Away) later in the year in 2014 as he regained his strength and energy. Wildmann became more stronger in his craft, and he was untouchable because of God's Blood. 2020 Wildmann released (Soul of A Black Man). 2021 Wildmann produced Ruby & Da Girlz album (Grace). 2022 Wildmann produced V. Nichole Album Love Change. 2024 Wildmann produced Quwan Shedrick (Quartet Volume 1) 2025 Wildmann has now released his new project (I Been Doing This) that's out now on all digital platforms. Wildmann is nothing to be messed with. He is a high energy performer and will rock your stage hard. Welcome to Wildmann's Land as he says. Everyone the one and only "Wildmann"

Requirements for a great show and services. We would need 2 dressing rooms, Backline Stage Lighting (Drums set, Mark Bass Amp, Fender Twin Lead amp, 2 DI boxes for our Keyboardist, 2 vocal mics, PA 16 channel mixing board, 2 overhead PA speaker, 2 floor speaker monitors for the lead singer and band and bottles of water. These are the requirements we need to have a great show. We also can set our own sound up, But it will be an additional charge for it.
