I hired Kristin and her team to plan my husband's 50th birthday party, and I could not be more pleased with the result. She and her staff were terrific! They met with me and came to my home to see the space and plan the best way to set-up and execute the party. We had about 70 people at our house, and she made the entire process so easy. On the day of the party, she and her staff handled all of the set-up from the food, bar, tables, centerpieces and decorations. She and her staff were amazing. My husband and I actually got to enjoy the event. There was no stress on us at all. They managed all the food and drinks and were so nice to all of our guests. Everyone at our party kept telling us what an amazing group we had hired. I have already told Kristin that I will be using her again in the future. If you want to take the stress out of having a big party and have it run well, hire Kristin! You will not regret it! It was worth every penny.
We hosted a wine party at our home in June, 2015 and since we didn't want to do any of the planning and food preparation ourselves, we hired Kristin and her staff - what an excellent choice! This company did a wonderful job from beginning to end. Their planning was meticulous - they thought of details that we never thought of and saw that everything was perfect the night of the party. The decorations, rentals, and arrangement of food and furniture was well planned and worked wonderfully. The food, provided by My Chef was excellent and got wonderful reviews. And the night of the party, the staff couldn't have been more helpful - they were attentive without being intrusive and everyone remarked on how friendly and helpful they were. All in all, a great experience We would definitely use Kristin again.
Priceless! Kristin and her team alleviated any and all stresses I had for my wedding day which allowed me to just enjoy every moment of my day. From setting up initial appointments, to making recommendations and contacting possible vendors, to easing my worry, to planning and executing the timeline of events, Kristin and her team were one of the best decisions we made! On the day of our wedding, as the bride, I was unaware of any hiccup or bumps in the road. Kristin and her team were on top of everything and no detail went unnoticed! I found Kristen by doing a search on the internet. You see, I live in Florida, but I was to host a Bachelorette party in Illinois for my niece. I wanted it to be perfect.
From the very beginning the communication (which is extremely important to me) was terrific with Kristin. We discussed everything from budget to what my wishes were to colors. I told her what I wanted and she made it happen.
Her crew.... I cannot say enough about them. You would have thought Kristin and her crew had grown up with all of us the night of the party. They fit right in with us and not once did they feel like they were 'workers', they felt more like friends/family and they just belonged there with us.
God definitely put them in my path for a good reason. I could write a novel of how great things were, from the decorations, food, planned events, transportation etc... but let me just end with the simple words, I would recommend Kristin for ANY type of event to ANYONE, and at ANYTIME. You just can't go wrong if you choose her.
We hired Kristin for a few hours of "day of" setup and we really got more! She is wonderful to work with and makes you feel like a friend. She went above and beyond, helping with anything we needed before our wedding. Kristin and her team really brought our vision to life. We received many compliments at our reception. I had no concerns coming into our reception. Kristin made sure we liked everything before they left. We are so happy we found her and wish we found her in earlier stages of wedding planning. I contacted Kristin about 1 month prior to my wedding, after I realized I had no one to set up the decor at the reception! Kristin was very responsive and accomodating from the start (literally a text away), and helped alleviate the stress related to all the planning. We met twice, first time to go over the decor details and sign the contract, and second time at the reception venue, in order to finalize the decor plan. Kristin was very kind to arrive early to each meeting as well as on the wedding day to ensure that everything was set up on time. From the start I knew I was in good hands. Kristin and her team worked impeccably, and the reception venue was perfectly ready to receive guests. Each detail that we discussed was re-created, better than I envisioned! I would highly recommend working with Kristin and her team. Her love for weddings, her creativity, flexibility and responsiveness are priceless!
Kristin and her staff were amazing at creating my dream wedding. From day one they implemented a timeline, created a design and focused on what was important to me the bride. For a type A person to hand over control of my big day was huge and I am nothing but in AWE of Kristin and her staff. The day even though we had a bit of rain ran smoothly- Kristin is one to handle a "wedding crisis" and turn it into a special event! She was so kind, helpful and gracious throughout the event from me asking her staff to light incense every 40 minutes (she even made a timetable!) to the perfect bartender (Alan) with his perfect pours etc. My dream came true thanks to Wedding and Events by Kristin, my heart still sings about my special day.
I will admit I initially had reservations if Kristin could represent the brides vision. She has a low key personality but lots of confidence. She would say it'll be okay. It's my job and I love what I do. On my sons wedding day Kristin and Alan were amazing. She presented the brides vision exactly. The venue was beautiful. The guest rave and complemented on how beautiful everything was. The setup was timely and efficient. I would defiantly recommend Kristin's services.
Let me start by saying I struggled with whether hiring a day of coordinator was worth the money, and it was a big debate between me and my, now, husband. I can say with absolute certainty that it was the BEST money spent on my wedding! While you can never anticipate if things will go wrong, if nothing else, it is worth the peace of mind to know you have someone that can handle and fix any situation! But for me, it was worth so much more... because things went wrong, and Kristin and her team were fixing it before I even had a second to stress out about things (and I stress out easily).
1) Officiant was very late to the rehearsal which meant that we had to start without him... she made sure it was no big deal and started directing us on what to do without even speaking to him. (and then also quickly pulled us inside right before the rain!)
2) We were supposed to give roses to our moms during the ceremony... Roses never came! She improvised and found flowers for us to give them!
3) She was on top of the weather and knew how to speed up the ceremony and get the guests inside, literally minutes before it started downpooring!
4) Vases were never delivered for the bouquets.... she found some for us to use!
5) Someone stepped on my dress and it ripped... Kristins team to the rescue and quickly sewed it up so that no one had known what happened!
6) During dinner, they kept bringing the head table drinks... we were never thirsty!
7) Just in general, I not once had my "coordinator" given to me by the reception hall introduce herself, check in on me, do anything! But it didn't matter because Kristin and/or her team was there all the time checking in and helping out. (but not to the point where it was annoying, it was the perfect amount!)
I cannot say enough good things! Every bride that is on the fence about hiring a day of coordinator, I would absolutely say DO IT!!! Best money spent, and I thought of so many times that I would have cried if they weren't there!
Working with Kristin was an amazing experience! From beginning to end, she was the glue that held every piece of my event and sanity together! Kristin's knowledge of your special day as well as her support for you as a bride is something she seems to take great pride in. During the wedding planning stages, Kristin and I met periodically in person every couple of months (based on my needs) to ensure I was keeping true to my timeline. As the event neared she went above and beyond to ensure that I was stress-free and had what I needed. As a bride, it was the little things that she (and her amazing team!) did - went to purchase my floating candles, looked over schedules, connected with vendors about payments and schedules, organized the wedding rehearsal, set out decorations - that made the day a very enjoyable event. The day of the wedding she was on time and engaging with everyone in the space. Her personable character made her a joy to be around! My wedding was just as I had imagined with her running the show! I could tell she knew what she was doing, and she even read my mind at times! Kristin was unafraid to have those difficult, yet professionally appropriate, conversations with folks who could have made the event unpleasant and it allowed me to enjoy time with family and friends. After the wedding my wedding party raved about the work that her team did and my bridesmaid is certain she would hire her for her wedding! I do not usually issue such high rating for folks. However, Kristin always went above and beyond to ensure that her team was on the same page and working to make our day special. My husband mentioned that he could tell she enjoys what she does and is in it for you as a bride and groom. She took the time to understand us both! It made a world of a difference and I would recommend her to anyone looking to have a stress-free and fun event!
Kristin and her entire team came to my rescue when I called just a week before my wedding, looking for someone to help me by doing day of coordination for my reception. As an event planner by day, I had planned out almost everything for my big day, but I didn't want to have to worry about execution or the little details. Kristin and her team stepped in and handled every single detail - leaving nothing forgotten. My parents are still telling me to this day what a great job her team did in getting all of the gifts out to their car, securing special items such as vases, and dealing with everything that they wouldn't have even thought of. I can never thank them enough. If you need a helping hand or assistance with an event - Kristin is the person to call!!! I can't recommend her enough!

Kristin and her team were recommended to us by a family friend, and we could not be happier with choosing to have them be our day-of-coordinators! They were so much more than just day-of planners- Kristin was responsive and flexible with us throughout our nearly 15 month planning process. I had very little planning done when we started working with Kristin, so she offered guidance throughout much of the planning process. She was so friendly and offered her help throughout the planning process, and even recommended some vendors to us when we were looking for florists, djs, etc. She made us feel very taken care of and confident that everything about our event would be run smoothly, and it did! As the bride and groom, you don't always know about details that go wrong or issues that come up at the last minute, but I can confidently say that there were no details that were overlooked, no vendors that didn't show up, and no scheduling conflicts on the day of our wedding, thanks to Kristin, Kathy, and Amy! They worked all day between our ceremony location, reception, and in between to not only make sure all of the decorative details were perfect, but also to help coordinate and direct our 250 guests- which is a very difficult task in itself! They handled everything with professionalism, and the few calm, private moments that my now-husband and I were able to take throughout the evening were all thanks to Kristin and her team- they made us a priority and helped deflect any stressful situations so that we really felt like royalty the whole evening. I can't recommend Kristin and her staff enough! They were so friendly to our guests, bridal party, and other vendors as well. Thanks to Kristin, Kathy and Amy for making our event enjoyable for ourselves and our guests, and for all your hard work!
Kristin and her team were very helpful through our process of planning our daughter's wedding. Kristin consulted with us, recommending vendors when appropriate, and advising us when asked about particular details about the reception. They made sure everything was in place for the warehouse type venue, and I was able to enjoy it and not worry about details. There was a snafu with some gifts and they took care of it without worrying me but told me all the details so I would know, and kept all the gifts safe. Because Kristin has assistants, we were able to have the ceremony, some hospitality time, and the reception set up covered with time to spare. They also kept us on schedule without stress. Kristin and her team communicate and listen well so was a pleasure to work with them.
I don't even know where to begin...my wedding was pulled off flawlessly because of Kristin and her team, there is no way that I could have done any part of this wedding without her. From the very beginning, Kristin provided me with exceptional vendors because she only recommends the best, and I got the best from these vendors. Everyone exceeded my expectations. She is a stickler for details, and is extremely responsive whenever you need her to be. With the amount of stress that can be put on a bride, a groom, and their families on the day of the wedding, you can only hope that you have someone like Kristin and her team by your side to make sure that everything is pulled off to your liking. My wedding turned out to be better than I had dreamt over the last year, and I couldn't be any happier about the way that everything turned out. Kristin was by far the best investment that we made into this day, and I would recommend that every bride book Kristin, I guarantee that you will never regret it.
Kristin was hired by me to assist in matters related to my daughter's early June wedding. Events leading up to the wedding were not typical, as my daughter and her fiancé were students back East, and were extremely busy, but wanted to retain control of the wedding planning. Kristin was flexible in meeting with us at times that were convenient to my daughter's schedule. She was patient, and was ready with suggestions when we expressed concerns. She returned phone calls promptly, which helped lower the anxiety level being experienced by me. Her manner was always pleasant and positive. She not only performed as she had outlined to us, but provided services at the reception that we were not expecting. We were lucky in having her available to assist us in this happy occasion. I would definitely recommend her, and in fact did so at my daughter's wedding reception to a newly engaged couple who were guests.
I honestly was skeptical at first about hiring a day-of coordinator, but Kristin and her staff completely changed my mind. I really don't think I could have made it through the day as relaxed as I was, without her and her staff. Kristin did everything I could think of and more!
There were so many little things that came up and I was so grateful to not have to deal with them on my wedding day. From organizing the set-up the day of, to bringing the bridal party drinks while we waited, everything was perfect. I've had so many friends compliment me on how smoothly everything went and I tell them all that it wasn't me, it was Weddings by Kristin!
Before the wedding I had minor issues with photographers and the florist. Kristin was so helpful and put me completely at ease. She's very knowledgeable and amazing at communicating--even when vendors aren't!
Even after the wedding was over, she went above and beyond. There was an issue with my hotel room for the night of the wedding, yet she resolved it completely during the hotel's normal business hours.
I really don't think that there was anything more than I could have asked from Kristin or her staff.
I have to say that planning a wedding is a nightmare that I would not wish on my worst enemies. If you decide to go down this 6-12 month agonizing path, Kristin and her team are your best option to smooth your way. They did an amazing job: Kristin listened to what we were looking for with a tight, 6 month turnaround and recommended venues and had meetings setup in days. The vendors that she recommended were excellent, and though the catering staff at the Morton Arboretum was a nightmare to deal with to the point that they fired their catering director two weeks prior to my wedding, the food turned out flawless due to Kristin stepping in and coordinating with Denise at the arboretum, who was great as well, despite her colleagues shortfall. There are many small details that go into planning a wedding and Kristin was available to help make recommendations and help execute all of them. I definitely believe that we got an extremely good value for the money, and I will hire her team for future events.

My husband and I hired Kristin in August of last year to help plan our wedding reception. She impressed us from the very beginning, and here’s why: I found her contact info on gigsalad, sent her an email, and she responded in less than 10 minutes! She is eager and extremely enthusiastic, I’ll tell you, and she will reiterate that she loves what she does; this woman lives to plan parties.
From our first encounter onward, Kristin approached everything she did for us with the same level of urgency. She was prompt, consistent, knowledgeable, and collaborative. At no point did she try to make this "her" event; instead, she listened to our ideas, gave her input where it was needed, and carried out our event to the letter.
She is extremely well-established within her industry, and we used her vendors for just about everything. She found us a great venue, referred us to an awesome DJ, and helped us find an extremely reasonable, yet incredibly talented, graphic artist to design our invitations. The list goes on.
The skinny of it is this: there is absolutely no way my husband and I would have survived this process without Kristin. Instead of the planning of our event being the stressful, hair-pulling burden it was expected to be, it was really, truly fun to plan, because she did all the hard stuff for us. All we had to do was show up and write checks. It doesn't get much better than that.
We were lucky enough to win 4 hours of free wedding planning through Weddings and Events by Kristin at the Glen Ellyn Wedding Walk. After meeting with Kristin and getting to know her bubbly personality, we decided to pay for a full day-of wedding package. I was very much a DIY bride, but anytime I needed referrals, had questions, or just needed a "you're on the right track" pep talk, Kristin was right there for me. At the rehearsal, Kristin and our reverend made sure our bridal party and family knew their roles on the day of. She did a great job of keeping our excitement on task! On the day of, Kristin and her staff were very responsive to our needs. They helped our florist flip the room and decorate on a very tight timeline while also making sure to "herd the cats" that is our family during family pictures. Kristin and her staff made sure we were on time but also having a good time! They helped make sure all of our cards and gifts got to a safe place, and overall just made sure that we were enjoying every moment of our special day! What an amazing party! Kristin and her staff took care of everything. My husband was completely surprised and I wouldn't have pulled it off without them. I received so many complements on the food and the theme. The night of the party, the staff was instrumental in making sure everyone had a good time. All of her team was so warm and friendly I felt like i was hanging out with a bunch of my friends. I knew this was going to be more than I wanted to plan by myself. Kristin came to the rescue and even exceeded our rather high expectations in every way!
