My love of music started when I was young. My mom had lots of 45's and even some 78's (wish I had them now they'd be worth a small mint). It was my job to play the music at our family holiday parties. I'm guessing I got my "host" genes from my mom, I just hadn't realized it yet.

I was stationed at Little Rock AFB in the late 70's. I befriended the vinyl toting weekend DJ "Wildman Steve" at the Airmen's club. I really dug what he did and got my first taste of the "thrill of the scream" when I filled in for him during a break.

The "thrill of the scream..." that's when a dancing floor full of people collectively scream, cheer and dance it up when you play a popular hit just at the right time. I still love that to this day.

Other obligations pulled me away from the DJ world, until 1996, when it turns out, I needed a complete change in my life; a make-over if you will. I happened to befriended another DJ in the now defunct Cleveland "Flats" warehouse nightclub district. I began an apprenticeship under DJ Dave at Jimmy's in the Flats and the 2 story Heaven & Earth nightclub, DJ Dave used to call me over the microphone from time to time, ”Geo to the Booth”.

I graduated to my first solo “paid” gig on the millennial NYE night December 31, 1999. (I know right!) I played a number popular tunes of that era, and at midnight, Auld Lang Syne followed by Prince’s 1999. (waited 10 yrs to do that combo).. Well as you can guess I heard the "scream" and at that moment, I self confirmed that DJGeo and ClubstyleDJ Entertainment Services was BORN for the new millennium. In late 2006 I fulfilled a 20 year old dream and relocated to San Diego California, where I added Wedding Style DJ Entertainment to the company brand and the rest is history... check that...the rest is the future.
