July 5, 2023I highly recommend working with Nicole. From our first consult meeting to our last polishing session, she made the process engaging and fun. I was nervous if I would regret having to spend money on dance lessons, but I am so glad that I did. We hired her to help us learn a specific style for our first dance and she did everything possible to ensure she was in alignment with our vision. She made sure we truly got all the moves and choreographed an amazing routine for us. The amount of compliments from my family and friends really spoke to having made the right decision. June 30, 2023My fiancé and I had our first danced choreographed by Nicole and we could not be happier with our experience! She was so kind and warm from the beginning and made me and my very nervous hubby-to-be feel comfortable and excited to start building our dance together. In the initial stages I like to sit down with clients for an in-person, phone or video consultation in order to meet each other and walk through any questions or concerns about the wedding dance process. We will map out song selections, timelines and brainstorm the desired look and feel of your dream dance. We will also have a short introductory lesson where we will try a few fun and easy moves that will be the building blocks of our dance and give you an idea of the direction we will be going in. This introductory lesson and consultation will allow the couple a little taste of what future lessons will look and feel like and give the opportunity to decide if we are a good match for each other. This connection is important because in the end, the priority is always the couple, their comfort level and feeling that they can trust me to guide them through the process of co-creating their perfect first dance together. I hope to be that potential instructor person for you and your special day!
I have been dancing for 16 years of my life, mostly in latin styles (salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia) but have expanded my knowledge base over the past 3 years into additionally dancing and teaching ballroom styles (waltz, foxtrot, tango), swing (east and west coast styles) and country dancing. I am a natural teacher and enjoy the challenges of adapting to various different learning styles and keeping things fun. My bread and butter is working with wedding clients and truly where my heart is. I love meeting new couples, hearing their love story and working together to create a beautiful first dance that encapsulates their vision and their love for each other. It is an honor to be a small part of such a memorable moment in a couple's journey together by helping them build confidence in dance, in themselves and helping foster deeper connection between each other. On consultation day, the only thing necessary is for you to dress comfortably and be ready with any questions or concerns you would like to address. I will have a list of questions I'll be asking you in order to help me hone in on your vision. Don't worry though, even if you don't have any idea of the direction you would like to go in, I will be there every step of the way to help brainstorm and figure it out together. No need to have a song chosen already or any other details, we can map that out together along the way and I've got lots of tricks up my sleeve for adjusting to any changes or challenges that may arise. I've got your back so just show up with a willingness to explore and have fun!
