Ms. Thien Truc, Nguyen is a classical violinist who holds music degrees from the Ho Chi Minh Conservatory of Music, the University of South Florida, and the University of Houston.
Besides her experiences of teaching schedule, Thien Truc performs regularly with orchestras in the Houston area. Born in Vietnam, Thien Truc Nguyen began violin lessons at the age of four. Thien Truc received the Intermediate Professional Education Diploma in Violin performance from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music in Vietnam, and her Bachelor of Music degree with a concentration in Violin performance from the University of South Florida (USF) under the direction of Professor Carolyn Stuart. During her time at the USF, she was proud to be the recipient of the USF Presser Undergraduate Scholarship Award and the USF Academic Achievement Award in Music History in 2016. In 2017, Thien Truc was one of the three finalists at the Ocala Young Artist Competition.
As a soloist, Thien Truc was invited to perform as a soloist for the B.A.C.H. School of Music concert series, “The Piano Sings,” in addition to being featured on several nationally acclaimed television stations in Vietnam. An avid chamber musician, Thien Truc has spent this past summers performing chamber music with musicians from all over the world at the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival in Vermont and the Brancaleoni International Music Festival in Piobbico, Italy. Additionally, Thien Truc has performed with the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet and Opera, the South Shore Symphony Orchestra and currently plays in the USF Symphony Orchestra and the Ocala Symphony Orchestra.
