Born in Indianapolis, IN in the mid-1980s the artist known as C-Nice was born within a family of music lovers as well as musical entertainers. With no choice but to listen to all types of music from Jazz to R&B and Hip Hop as this has laid the foundation for C-Nice to become the artist that we listen to now. While coming up in middle school “Cedric Staten” AKA C-Nice started playing the trumpet as this made his love for music grow even more.
While growing up as a teenager C-Nice was inspired by some of the local rap acts in Indianapolis such as the group named “317” that featured his brother and artist that goes by D-Mac. C-Nice was inspired so much that he started writing raps and going to the studio to help build his craft. In the mid-2000s C-Nice released his first single titled “Sun Shine” while working with the label called “Black Money” as this song had great success as well as some play on the local radio station.
C-Nice has developed his own style to be compared to no other as his inspiring messages backed with great lyrics and production will keep you on your feet for what’s next to come.
Following his first full mix tape titled “C.O.O.L” that was released on SoundCloud C-Nice had his vision on the next project that’s titled “Alter Ego 20/20” to be released on April 23rd 2019 exactly one year after the death of his beloved grandfather. Alter Ego will be available on iTunes, Spotify, Tidal and more.
The fans can expect more good music as well as live performances from C-Nice as this is just the beginning of a fun journey that started with the basics as the best is yet to come.
