Hiring Dylan was the best decision I ever made! I was so lucky to have found him. He was a huge hit at my husband's birthday party. Our friends were very impressed with his performance and song choices. Dylan is truly a remarkable and talented artist. It's a joy to watch someone who loves what they do. We can't wait to hire him again soon!

Hi Margaret,
It was an honor to be a part of your husbands 50th. Your friends were so welcoming and I really appreciate their kind words about the set list. I have loved playing music for a long time, but the best part is getting to share it with people who love it too. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

September 1, 2020Could not have been better
Dylan arrived early, prepared and professional. He transformed a small gathering of friends and family into a memorable celebration. It would not have been the amazing evening that it was were it not for Dylan’s music. He was amazing, integrating seamlessly into our evening and raising us all on the wings of his music. we are truly grateful. Thank you Dylan.

February 20, 2020A+++++ experience!
Would absolutely hire again in a heartbeat! We loved Dylan! From the start, Dylan was so easy to work with! He was polite, super prompt, always answered my questions, and even dealt with some odd requests from our venue that were needed to ensure he could perform. His voice was lovely and his performance provided the perfect ambiance for our event. I cannot express enough how thankful we are that we found such a great performer! If we have another event in L.A., we would absolutely hire Dylan again! Our guests were even filming him for posts on social media!

Thank you so much Allison!
It was a pleasure to serve you and the American Heart Association for your annual event. It was great to get to talk with you and some of the other employees and learn about things human heart and how to prevent health issues in the future. Nicole gave me a masterclass on heart information and it was so much fun to sing U2 with the ladies at the table in the front. I'd love to be a part of any event you have in the future!

What to expect
1. A Frictionless Planning Experience
Your workload is already immense. My goal is to be the easiest vendor on your roster.
A Single Point of Contact: Instead of coordinating different contracts for different parts of the night: instrumental guitarist, cocktail hour singer, and a DJ, you get a single, seamless workflow.
Intuitive Customization: Through a detailed discovery call, I identify the exact "vibe" you are targeting. Whether you need background ambiance or high-energy crowd engagement or something in between, the setlist and energy are tailored to your specific goals.
2. The "Complement, Not Compete" Philosophy
The biggest fear for any planner is entertainment that ignores the aesthetic and mood you're trying to create.
Sonic Intentionality: I act as a vibe magnifying glass. During cocktail hours or dinners, my roaming acoustic performances are designed to pull guests together, not distract them from conversation.
Aesthetic Integration: From high-end, discreet sound systems to a visual presentation that matches black-tie, business casual or "coastal chic" dress codes, I blend perfectly into the environment you’ve built.
3. A Multi-Dimensional Performance Flow
I provide a versatile musical journey that evolves alongside your event’s timeline:
Arrival: Sophisticated, lush acoustic instrumentals that set an immediate tone of elegance.
Networking/Cocktails: Engaging, familiar vocals and roaming performances that act as a natural icebreaker.
The Main Event: A seamless transition into high-energy live looping or DJ-style sets that elevate the energy exactly when needed.
4. Unrivaled Professionalism & Authority
With a background mentored by industry legends and a history of performing for Fortune 500 companies and high-profile celebrities, I understand the stakes of a luxury event.
Reliability: Early arrival, top-of-the-line wireless equipment, and a fully insured production mean you never have to worry about technical "surprises."
Expert Crowd Reading: I possess the rare ability to read the room in real-time—adjusting volume, tempo, and genre to ensure the energy is always precisely where it needs to be.
5. The "Where Did You Find Him?" Effect
The ultimate measure of success for a planner is the feedback from the client. By the end of the night, your guests won’t just remember a "good party"—they’ll remember an unforgettable atmosphere. I provide the kind of performance that makes your clients look like geniuses for hiring you, and makes you look like a hero for finding me.
The Bottom Line:
You are looking for a performer who is an expert in both the art of music and the business of luxury. I deliver a painless, professional, and consistently excellent experience that allows you to sit back and enjoy the results of your hard work.
About
Your event is a reflection of your standards. Whether you are hosting a high-stakes corporate activation or a landmark private celebration, you’ve curated every detail with intention. The entertainment should be no different. Most event hosts fear hiring a performer who is "too much"—someone who competes with the conversation or brings a cheesy, unprofessional energy that disrupts the atmosphere.
I offer a refined alternative: Music that complements, never competes.
As a Berklee-trained musician mentored by industry legends like John Mayer, Paul Simon and Joe Satriani, I provide a sophisticated, all-in-one musical journey that scales with your event’s energy. I specialize in a "vibe magnifying glass" approach—transitioning seamlessly from roaming acoustic instrumentals that encourage networking to high-energy vocals and DJ-style flow that brings people together.
“Nothing short of spectacular” - Valerie Vandenberghe | The Vibe Agency
Why this is the choice for your next event:
A Complete Sonic Solution: I provide what typically requires three separate vendors—instrumental guitar, guitar with vocals, and professional DJ services—all in one seamless package. You can customize my performance for background ambiance or an upbeat night of top 40s music that gets people singing.
Unrivaled Professionalism: With a client list including Fortune 500 companies, CEOs and celebrities, I understand the nuances of events with a need for flawless execution.
Total Peace of Mind: From early arrival and top-of-the-line sound to an effortless booking process, I handle every detail so you can remain fully present with your guests.
Don’t risk your reputation on an amateur. Give your guests a soundtrack that feels as premium as the event you’ve designed.
Transform your atmosphere. Secure a seamless music experience.
“We knew we were in for something special, but we didn't anticipate just how transformative his performance would be. His musical talent isn't just professional; it's profoundly captivating.” - Clinton E. | Palos Verdes
Dylan has an extensive history in music, including recording at the legendary East West Studios, where Elvis, The Beatles, U2, and Harry Styles also recorded. He has released original music on Spotify and has co-directed and starred in several music videos, shared stages with members of the off-Broadway musical STOMP, and even composed music for the documentary “The Essential Church,” which peaked at #1 in the Apple TV Documentaries category.
His extensive education and experience playing music have helped him to develop a very discerning ear and musicality, and he can easily perform a bespoke set list that is individually crafted for every audience. He can arrange his own song list and create a performance that fits the mood and energy of your event, often starting with soft acoustic instrumental music and slowly increasing the energy as the night progresses.
He not only comes with all needed gear but can provide lighting and a wireless mic for guest speeches free of charge, has every performance insured, and strives to give you an absolutely stress-free booking process and seamless experience from the first phone call to the last note of the night. You will be the person everyone applauds when your guests ask:
“Where in the world did you find him?”

Dylan Galvin is a Berklee College of Music-trained guitarist, vocalist, and live looping artist based in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, performing professionally since 2009. He's studied with Paul Simon, John Mayer, and Livingston Taylor, and brings that training to weddings, corporate events, and private parties across the DMV.
What sets Dylan apart: he's a live, wireless roaming performer — moving through cocktail hours and receptions rather than staying anchored to a stage, so guests get an up-close, personal experience most solo acts can't offer. His set list spans classics, easy listening, and the decades — 60s through modern — arranged for solo fingerstyle guitar, guitar with vocals, or full live looping. He also offers DJ services with a professional sound system and wireless mics, so one booking can cover ceremony through last dance.
Fully insured ($1M liability, client/venue named additional insured at no cost). Serving Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland.
