We are available as violin SOLO: acoustic violin (with no backing tracks).
DUO: violin/cello, two violins, violin/piano.
TRIO: violin/viola/cello, violin/piano/cello.

April 9, 2026I hired Nataliya's group to play for a large production pop-opera concert at the Packard Music Hall in Warren OH. Our show requires all musicians to perform unique musical arrangements that they would not be familiar with prior (including challenging instrumental solos) and they played every song absolutely perfectly, with not a single rehearsal. Not many can do that on the spot. In addition to their skill and professionalism, they are all equally beautiful, fun, lighthearted, and kind. We just all had a blast doing this concert together. I would HIGHLY recommend Viva la Vida for any event, big or small.

YARYNA TSARYNSKA - VIOLIN
The true gem of our quartet is our first violin, Yaryna Tsarynska. 🎻❤️
Yaryna Tsarynska is Ukrainian-American violinist performer, violin teacher from beginners to advanced students, co-founder U4U band and Viva la Vida quartet.
She came to the USA with her family when the war started in Ukraine so that they could feel safe.
She os working in many orchestras in America, such as Johnstown Symphony (PA), Catskill Symphony (NY), Fireland Symphony (OH), Akron Symphony (OH), Snowbelt Symphony (OH), Symphoria Symphony (NY) and Fenimore Chamber (NY). In Ukraine she worked in Lviv National Opera, Lviv Chamber Orchestra Virtuoses, Slipak Opera Studio and Lviv National Philharmonic.
She also working with children and adults who want to learn to play the violin. Together with her mother they opened a small private violin school.
Also she working in Royalton Music Center and Cleveland Music Academy as a violin teacher.
NATALIYA SHEHLUK - VIOLIN
Nataliya Shehluk is a Ukrainian-born violinist and educator whose career combines performance experience with a passion for teaching. She is an orchestra musician, co-founder of the Viva la Vida quartet, and the owner of the Advanced Music studio.
During her student years in Ukraine, Nataliya performed with the Leopolis Chamber Orchestra and the Lviv Opera Theatre Orchestra. After relocating to the United States, she has served as Concertmaster of the Solon Symphony Orchestra since 2016, and has also performed with the Firelands Symphony Orchestra, Euclid Symphony Orchestra, and the Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra. In addition to her orchestra career, Nataliya has worked as a strolling violinist at Europe Restaurant, Mirazh Restaurant, and Crystal Party Center performing for weddings, receptions, and cultural gatherings where her music provided elegant and engaging atmosphere.
As an educator, Nataliya brings more than a decade of teaching experience. She has taught at Strongsville Music Academy and the Celebrity School of Music. and served as an Orchestral Music Tutor for Orange City Schools, coaching young string players in ensemble performance. Currently, she is a violin and viola instructor at Solon Center for the Arts, where she also leads the Arts for Kids violin group class.
Many Nataliya's students have successfully auditioned for regional youth orchestras and earned competition awards. Her teaching style blends the rich traditions of European violin pedagogy with modern methods that foster technical mastery, musical expression, and a lifelong love of music.
JAMES McDERMOTT - CELLO
The heartbeat of our quartet is James McDermott, a wonderful cello player and a very modest person. James is the middle school orchestra director at Westlake City School District. He graduated from the Ohio State University School of Music in 2023, and he enjoys playing cello professionally for orchestras, weddings, chamber music, and musical theater productions.
ROSALIND SOLTOW - viola
Rosalind is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Viola Performance. At CIM, she participated in the Advanced String Quartet Seminar and studied with Kirsten Docter of the Cavani Quartet. While her true love is chamber music, she is an active orchestral player. She is principal violist with the Firelands Symphony and Snowbelt Symphony and performs regularly with the Canton Symphony and the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. She has also performed with the Akron, Ashland, Lakeside, and Warren Symphonies and was a core member of the Mansfield Symphony for more than a decade. Outside of performing, Rosalind serves as president of the board of trustees for the Appalachian Chamber Music Festival in Harpers Ferry, WV. Rosalind works in fundraising and development for nonprofits focused on environmental conservation and has held positions at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes, National Forest Foundation, and American Forests. Originally from Richmond, VA, Rosalind is pleased to call Cleveland her home, residing on the east side with her husband, two dogs, and cat.
