Dynamic and energetic music instructor and professional symphonic musician, with over thirteen years of performance experience. Highly motivated educator of music and performer dedicated to creating exciting and welcoming learning environments. Well organized and able to develop positive relationships with parents, students and teachers to ensure success of students. Orchestral stringed instruments are my area of expertise and with my knowledge of many different areas of music, I plan to encourage those planning to make music a career.
Nicholas started playing the viola at age 11 in his six-grade year and has 12 years of performing experience. An Atlanta native, he discovered at an early age, his passion for music and decided to pursue the has received numerous awards, honors and accolades for his musical achievements. In 2013, he ranked in the top 10 in the state of Georgia in the GMEA (Georgia Music Educators Association) All-State Orchestra and was ranked in the top 2 at the county level. Nick was the first is his alma mater South Cobb High Schools’ history to be accepted into the Atlanta Symphony Orchestras’ Talent Development Program. In addition, he was also a member of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra for the (phone number hidden)2 season. Currently a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Houston, he is a double major in music education and performance. Nicholas is currently under the instruction of Wayne Brooks, retired Principal violist of the Houston Symphony and has plans to attend graduate school following his bachelors.
