I have been Chicago's #1 Acoustic Entertainer for the past 2 years according to Gigmasters and my one-man-band approach is finally coming back to the South!
After 5 years performing for Carnival Cruise Line, American Idol XV, and countless others, I tour the country rocking out +500 songs in any style you can dream up. I use impressive acoustic looping techniques to quickly assemble a sound that can draw a tear or get folks dancing, but typically not at the same time!
Tell me your vision and let me show you how a true music professional can execute with talent and efficiency on and off the stage.
Everyone at our party loved Vinnie’s show. He is an excellent singer and it made the party. Everybody liked it so much he got another booking from one of our guests,
Vinnie recently played at my parent’s 40th wedding anniversary dinner. I can’t say enough about this very talented heartfelt musician!!! He sang every single song as if it was for his own parents and we are forever grateful to him because he set the entire mood that evening! Thank you Vinnie!!! You ROCK! Orlando is so lucky to have you!
I've been booking talent for corporate events for well over a decade now, and I've had the privilege to work with some exceptional people. This was our first time working with Vinnie, and he didn't disappoint! (In fact, he's now my new "go to" guy for anything within his travel range.) As a person he's fun and personable while still being a businesslike professional, and as an entertainer he's extremely talented and has quite a unique ability to read and really engage with his audience. From our corporate staff to our customers to other outside staff we hired for the event, we heard nothing but rave reviews and compliments about Vinnie's performance. (Considering most people don't actually take much notice of the musicians at corporate events, that's truly high praise.)
If you're looking for a good, solid performer to engage your audience and pump some positive vibes into your next event, Vinnie Hines is your man. Book him for your date now, before someone else does.
Vinnie was a huge hit. We held a party with 50 guests of all ages. It was a chill vibe as we sat outside watching the sunset over the water with Vinnie ended up staying and playing well into the night. Everyone loved him and we will definitely have him back. Highly recommended
Vinnie was perfect. His talent is undeniable. He read the crowd and adjusted his playlist accordingly. Every single guest commented on how great he was and he had the dance floor packed!
We hired Vinnie to play for my daughter's wedding ceremony and reception. We provided lenient guidelines, as we trusted his experience; this was the right way to go! His music selections were 'perfect' for the environment and aesthetics of both the ceremony and reception. We did provide a 'script' of announcements to be made throughout the evening (bridal party introductions; please join us as we toast the newlyweds, etc.) and all were perfectly timed and accurate. All of our guests complimented the music and Vinnie's ability keep himself 'in the background ' and yet be heard and thoroughly enjoyed. We highly recommend Vinnie for your event!
Vinnie did a fantastic job at our son’s proposal! It was so romantic and we couldn’t of asked for a better performance! Highly recommend!!!
I wanted to hire someone to play the guitar and sing for my husbands 50th birthday as a surprise. I had a hard time describing what I wanted but found it in Vinnie Hines.
I saw a review where someone said he was late so I was a little nervous but there was no need to be at all. He came earlier than expected and set up and was amazing!!!!!!! I HIGHLY recommend hiring him.
Vinnie played a 3-hour set yesterday at Pammies Sammies in Winter Garden. He was fantastic and got great audience feedback and participation. It was an outdoor patio event and the tables were all packed. Will definitely try to get him to play again.
Vinnie was originally signed to perform from 8:30pm-12:00am for our New Years Eve Party. The booking price was hefty but we thought he would be the professional that we needed with the quality we were looking for to welcome our guests and kick off our evening. As the event date got closer, I had to be in touch about start times of the event. He said he typically schedules 4-45 minute sets but would like to do a 9:30pm-12:30am with limited breaks. I explained that I would reluctantly compromise with a 9:00pm-12:30am with two short 15 minute breaks because I felt the original booking times were provided and services were quoted with exact times in booking. In my mind, it seemed Vinnie had a prior engagement which is why he was pushing to move the start time later in the evening. Although that was not something ever confirmed, the night of the event arose. I had not heard from Vinnie the day of to confirm his needs so I reached out. As the new start time was 9:00pm, I became concerned at 8:30pm when Vinnie was not at our venue to prep for a 9:00 start time. I reached out to him and he explained he had been delayed for a variety of reasons that were unforeseen. There was no reaching out to me proactively, which furthered my original suspicions of being double booked. He finally arrived appropriately 20-25 minutes late. Began playing at 9:48pm. We had an amazing party, but I have to say, Vinnie was not spoken of other than people saying "who's that guy and when did he show up?". Vinnie was apologetic and offered to prorate the costs, which is fine but certainly not the point. The event was not the same because he wasn't there when contracted. He was not proactive when problems began to arise to control and manage the situation. Sadly, I cannot recommend him because of this experience.
Response from Vinnie Hines (As Seen on American Idol):
I apologize sincerely for my tardiness after hitting a sobriety checkpoint during my travels to Orlando, FL on New Year's Eve from my publically promoted afternoon performance on the coast. I continue to offer proration, I played through my breaks and even offered to perform overtime. Throughout the night, I was handsomely tipped by guests without solicitation and was repeatedly asked for my business cards from grooving passerbys. I even received a gracious 'thank you' from your husband at the end of the night, which I greatly appreciated. I understand why you feel this way and I hope that my 30% reduction in fee for the missing 15-minutes of performance time will suffice. Have a great new year!
What to Expect
"My performance style is funky and soulful. I'm a passionate guy and I can't help but dance and get a little Ray Charles sway while I'm grooving out. I always tell folks my music is somewhere between Bill Withers, Foo Fighters and Maroon 5. The way I rewrite the songs on the fly with improvised leads, looped percussion and constantly changing delivery makes any crowd stay on their toes all day. And whether I'm serenading a misty-eyed wedding ceremony or getting some suits sauced up at a corporate event, I handcraft every setlist to be a perfect complement to any event!
Also, I use the best equipment money can buy! Everything in my inventory is top notch and I bring two of everything just to make sure we don't have any problems the day of. I use Taylor Guitars, JBL Speakers, MXR & TC Helicon Processor Pedals, Shure Microphones, and Mogami Gold cables to make sure that the live sound quality is radio ready!"
Featured on American Idol XV, Vinnie took his 'golden ticket' and ran with an incredible national career following. After thousands of performances for the likes of Carnival Cruises, Elvis Presley Ent, IHG, EBC and countless other incredible names, he calls the road home, driving his tour bus from city to city.
As Co-Owner of Artist Collective, a Chicago-based music consulting company, Vinnie runs the booking division, maneuvering more than twenty artists per week. He is a music professional by day and a one-man rock band by night with a style somewhere between Bill Withers, Maroon 5 and the Foo Fighters. His fascinating acoustic looping can be adaptable to any stage and he can perform more than 500 covers spanning most genres, including his debut album "HQ".
Personable, authentic, professional and teeming with talent, Vinnie Hines is has become a music maverick and a force to be reckoned with. Fans are sure to be pleasantly surprised as the ambitions of a naive bachelor have transformed into the wisened goals of an entrepreneur with newfound family ties and a love for creation. This weather acoustic veteran continues to blur the lines of entertainment, blazing his own path.
Be a part of the journey.
