May 27, 2026Absolutely amazing to work with!
We were looking for an emcee last minute for our dog and family friendly event and Valerie jumped right in! She did such an amazing job hosting our contests on stage with the crowd and making sure everyone was engaged and having fun. She was very professional, communicative, and so sweet!

What to expect
The Client is King in my book.
When you hire me, you’re getting more than someone who shows up, takes the microphone and reads what’s on the page. I want to understand your event, your audience, your message and what you need the person on stage to accomplish.
Before the event, I do my homework. Depending on the job, that may mean reviewing scripts and the run of show, learning technical product information, researching your company and speakers, checking pronunciations, joining production calls or rehearsals, and working with your team to make transitions and messaging feel natural.
On show day, I’m prepared—but I’m also paying attention. Live events have a funny habit of not following the plan exactly. Speakers run long. Timing shifts. Videos occasionally decide they’d rather not play. :-) I’m comfortable adjusting quickly, working with production and keeping the audience engaged without making them aware that anything has changed behind the scenes.
My style also changes with the room. A corporate conference may need warmth, polish and calm leadership. A product launch may need excitement and energy. A fundraiser may need heart. A trade show may need someone who can stop attendees in their tracks and turn attention into genuine interest. A sporting event may need the energy turned all the way up.
I don’t bring one personality to every event. I bring the version of me that best serves yours.
Most importantly, I’m easy to work with. I genuinely enjoy collaborating with producers, planners, executives, speakers, sales teams and technical crews. My goal is to make their jobs easier, represent your brand well and help the entire event feel better because I’m there.
My superpower is versatility. My standard is over-delivery. And my goal is always the same: make the audience care :-)
About
Hello! I’m Valerie Ojeda, a professional event emcee and MC, trade show presenter, corporate speaker, on-camera host and professional vocalist with more than 20 years of experience and over 1,000 live events worldwide.
Over the years, I’ve hosted corporate conferences, trade shows, awards programs, fundraisers, sporting events, product launches, festivals, private celebrations and family-friendly events for companies including Microsoft, Dell, Honda, 3M, Sony, Panasonic, Epson, Acura and HPE.
I’m often called “The Event Chameleon,” and that probably describes me better than anything else.
I can walk onto a stage and bring big energy and audience participation, then turn around and host a sophisticated corporate program, present highly technical messaging, interview an executive, moderate a conversation or guide a room calmly through an unexpected schedule change.
My background in acting, producing, presenting and live entertainment has also taught me how to read a room, think on my feet and make prepared material feel conversational rather than memorized.
I especially enjoy working closely with clients and production teams. I want to understand why the event matters, what the audience should take away from it and how I can help bring that vision to life.
I’m based in Los Angeles, work frequently in Las Vegas and travel nationwide and internationally.
At the end of the day, I don’t want the audience thinking, “She was a good emcee.”
I want them thinking, “That was a spectacular event!"

Set list
Every event calls for something a little different, and that’s exactly what I love about this work.
For high-energy events, I can bring humor, audience interaction, contests, giveaways and plenty of energy. I’ve hosted trade shows and conventions, NASCAR and NHRA events, concerts, fundraisers, festivals and other live events where keeping a crowd engaged is a big part of the job.
When the event calls for a more polished or sophisticated approach, I’m equally comfortable with scripted presentations, corporate messaging, speaker introductions, awards programs, panel moderation and executive events.
And plenty of events need a little of both.
I tailor my style, energy and delivery to the audience, the brand and the moment. Your event sets the tone—I adapt to fit it.
