Uptown L.A. Brown

I wrote a reply that I hope the management received notification and read. I did not apologize on the phone because of complaints that could have legal implications. I ended the conversation as nicely as possible while saying as little as possible until I investigated. The inappropriate comment "very cute" was intended only as a compliment, and the band member is sorry for offending her. The staring, I believe, is an exaggeration. One band member went through the guest food line by accident, because he thought that was what we were supposed to do since food was not in the original room he was told at the time he was told it would be there. In most places we perform, he did exactly what we are asked to do and do on a normal basis. Wait until the guests are finished and then go through the line so the cooks and wait staff don't have to do any additional work. Again, he is sorry that was offensive. He is from Turkey - language barrier. The rest of the band understood to wait and did not go through the line. But, the line had been open for 1.5 hours for a small number of guests that attended - they were all finished. He didn't take food from anyone. I'm not trying to be rude with this, but the complimentary food was pretty bad. Most adults would like an option over chicken nuggets and a bottle of water when they have been invited to dinner. The person that asked a staff member if they could not do any better should have not said anything at all. It was more of a "whine" than a bold statement out of frustration - he was hungry - long drive from Newberry and spoke before thinking.
One guest told us she was so glad she came that night because the entertainment has been so bad in the past she started not to come at all. Maybe management will work with us to help build the guest list back up. They know we can do it. We'll see.
