"Unfaded Brass Band are comprised of 10 members from New Orleans and surrounding areas that have assembled together to incorporate elements of hip-hop, jazz, soul and pop music and added the brass band framework to it. . The band has members from Mississippi, but most were born and raised in New Orleans. After being displaced by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, members of the band fled to Dallas and planted their roots within the city. In 2014, our founder, Jermaine Devezin saw the need to bring the brass band culture to the Dallas area based on the growing number of fellow New Orleanians who along with the band now call Dallas home."
Unfaded Brass Bass exceeded our expectations! The Band delivered and made myself and our guests feel like we were back at home in New Orleans. Unfaded Brass Band was a delightful surprise for our guests at then end of the wedding for the bride & groom's exit, but especially surprised by the 1 mile 2nd line procession crossing the White Rock Lake spillway to White Rock Brewery. The band was amazing!!! They far exceeded my expectations. We are from New Orleans and wanted to bring a little of our culture to Texas through our party. The band Showed Up and Showed Out!!! These Texas folks were in Awe. The band was on time and kept everyone dancing especially Mr. Jones (the party host).
I can't recommend this group enough! They were professional, punctual, and flexible as the first part of our event ran a little bit longer than planned. Even 3 months later, people are STILL talking about how much they added to the evening, and their musicianship was excellent. :)

The Unfaded Brass Band was phenomenal and authentic Second Line Music. They arrived on time, set up quickly and discreetly. Opened the ceremony with some sweet ceremonial music. When we walked to the cemetry and back, they led the way. They had four more gigs that day but blended perfectly into our crowd. Almost everyone said that the UBB was the best part of the Ceremony. The Unfaded Brass Band played a second line celebration that led from my daughter’s wedding ceremony to her reception - straight through downtown Dallas. They then played for a Sunday morning brunch the next day, providing a taste of church for grateful listeners.

I had seen UBB perform three years before I hired them. The fact that I remembered them so clearly when it came time for me to book a band should tell you just how memorable and wonderful an experience it was. When I started planning my 40th birthday and decided on a Second Line, I wrote them immediately. They arrived on time and ready to turn the party out. It's been over a month, and my friends are still talking about how awesome they were. We danced, jammed, and sang the whole set. I'm trying to think of another event I can plan just so I can hire them again. If you're reading this and are on the fence about hiring UBB, get off and call them NOW. You can thank me later.
Unfaded Brass Band was absolutely fantastic in all ways. When I first reached out to see if they were available for my event they were prompt to respond and extremely accommodating. On the day of the event, they arrived early with ample time to get situated before it was time for them to play. All of the band members were very nice and excited to be there. Their performance really packed a punch and all of the guests loved the vibe. all of the guests were on their feet dancing. Very happy with Unfaded Brassband to say the least.
I booked the band for my 45th bday party. Their performance made me feel like I was back in New Orleans. My guest enjoyed it they were on time and Jermaine even put his Indian suit on for me. I will always refer them to others and book them for anything I give.

One unique New Orleans tradition Unfaded loves to showcase is the soulful, colorful second-line parade. Where audiences hop, skip, and dance in front of, alongside, and behind the brass band. Waving handkerchiefs or twirling decorative umbrellas. The band can parade through functions or escort groups to restaurants, riverboats, and other destinations in this great New Orleans style.
Another great tradition the band offer is the “Mardi Gras Indian”. The band’s founder Jermaine Devezin is also a part of the 9th Ward Black Hachette tribe. Mardi Gras Indians are well known in New Orleans, Louisiana, and many dress up for Mardi Gras in suits influenced by Native American ceremonial apparel.

We pride ourselves on keeping the New Orleans brass band tradition alive and moving. Some of the bands that have greatly influenced us are The Rebirth, Dirty Dozen, Hot 8, Stooges, Soul Rebels, and TBC brass bands to name a few.
Depending on the event. We would need 7-9 mics. Other than that, we just require that you get on the dance floor and show us your footwork.
