• Quick replies: I respond within 2 hours. Once you book, we’ll do a 15-min call to plan music, timeline, must-plays, do-not-plays, and announcements.
• Planning made easy: I send a simple music form 2-3 weeks out. You tell me the vibe, I handle the rest. Special edits or mashups? I’ve got you.
• No last-minute scrambling: You get my direct number week-of. I confirm load-in, venue rules, and timeline with you + your planner/photographer.
Day Of
• Early + professional: I arrive 60-90 min early to set up and soundcheck. You won’t see cords everywhere or hear feedback.
• Full setup included: Pro sound, wireless mics, basic dance lighting, and backup gear all come standard. Need uplighting or a second setup for ceremony? Ask me.
• Crowd reading is my job: Dinner stays conversational. Dance floor stays packed. I take requests if they fit your night and won’t kill the vibe.
• MC included: I’ll handle intros, cake cutting, last dance, etc. I keep it hype but never cheesy.
After
• Clean break down: I’m out within 45 min and leave the space spotless.
• You’re covered: Running late? I don’t charge for the first 15 min of overtime. After that it’s prorated, never a surprise.

I’m Uncle Wawa, a Philadelphia-based DJ with 8+ years of experience turning regular nights into “remember when” nights. I’m 28, I live and breathe music, and I’ve built my name on one thing: reading a room better than anyone else in it. I don’t just play songs. I run the night.

I’m open format, which means I don’t live in one genre box. I live where the energy is. My crates are deep: Hip-Hop and R&B from 90s classics to today’s Billboard hits. Throwbacks that make every generation scream the lyrics. House and tech-house for that late-night groove. Afrobeats and dancehall to get hips moving. Latin, reggaeton, and dembow when the crowd wants that heat. Top 40 and pop remixes for mass appeal. Rock anthems, indie dance, funk, disco, and even country when the moment calls for it.

Wedding cocktail hour? Think smooth neo-soul, jazz, and acoustic covers at conversation level. Corporate gala? Polished, upbeat, and brand-appropriate. 21st birthday? We’re going wall-to-wall bangers, no breaks, no mercy. Frat party at Temple or Penn? I already know what you want before you say it. Mitzvah, quinceañera, Sweet 16? I’ve got clean edits, cultural staples, and I know how to get teens, parents, and grandparents on the floor together.

**THE EXPERIENCE**
Every event starts with you. When you book me, you get a planning call where we map the night. You send must-plays, do-not-plays, special dedications, and pronunciations for names. You tell me the vibe: classy, ratchet, romantic, unhinged, or all of the above in waves. I build a custom roadmap for your timeline — grand entrance, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, last song — and I execute it without you having to think about it once the night starts.

On event day, I’m there early. Setup is done before guests arrive. My rig is clean: professional speakers that sound crisp at low volume but thump when it’s time, subwoofers for venues that allow it, facades to hide wires, uplighting to transform the room, dance floor lighting, and wireless mics for toasts and announcements. Backup gear is always on site. If a cable dies, you’ll never know, because I’ve got two of everything.

I MC when you want me to. I can hype the crowd, guide the formalities, and keep the timeline tight. Or I can stay in the DJ booth and let your friend or coordinator run the mic. Your event, your rules. I’m not here for my ego. I’m here for your night.

**WHO I WORK WITH**
Weddings: From South Philly church receptions to rooftop ceremonies in Center City, barn weddings in Bucks County, and beach weddings down the shore. I handle ceremony sound, cocktail hour, dinner, and the party. I coordinate with your planner, venue, and photographer so cues hit right.

Corporate Events: Award banquets, holiday parties, product launches, conferences, team-building events. I keep it professional, on-brand, and high-energy. I’ve worked with companies who need clean, instrumental daytime sets and then a full dance party after 9pm. I get the assignment.

Bars + Clubs: I’ve held residencies and guest spots across Philly. I know how to build a room from 10pm to 2am. I mix live, take requests when they fit, and keep the bar busy because the floor is busy.

Private Parties: Birthdays for 30 to 300. Graduation parties. Engagement parties. Divorce parties — yes, those go hard. Backyard bashes, pool parties, block parties. If there’s a reason to celebrate, I’m there.

College + Greek Life: I know the difference between a homecoming set and a darty. I have the clean edits, I have the explicit versions, and I know when to use each.

School Events: Prom, homecoming, middle school dances. I keep it fun, appropriate, and I work with faculty to make sure the playlist passes the test. I also bring the lighting that makes a gym feel like a club.

**THE DETAILS THAT MATTER**
Service Area: Philadelphia and 100-mile radius — that’s all of PA, NJ, DE, NYC, Baltimore, and DC. Travel outside that? Let’s talk. I tour.

Setup: I need a 6ft table or space for my booth, and access to 1-2 standard outlets. I bring extension cords, gaff tape, and everything else. Load-in takes 60-90 minutes. Load-out takes 45. I’m out before the venue staff.

Music: I buy my music. I use legally licensed pools and high-quality files. No YouTube rips. No sudden silence because wifi cut out. I can take requests day-of via QR code or text if you want that option for guests.

Lighting: Basic dance floor lighting is included in most packages. Uplighting, cold sparks, monogram projection, and intelligent moving heads available as add-ons. Want the club look? I can bring it.

Insurance: Fully insured. COI available for venues upon request.

Backup Plan: If I’m sick or there’s an emergency, I’m part of a network of Philly DJs at my level. You will have a pro at your event, period. Hasn’t happened yet, but I plan for everything.
