Tyler Preston played at a dinner party for my granddaughter who celebrated her Sweet 16. We chose Tyler specifically because of his vocal ability; we liked his style, but there was more.
Tyler was professional and worked with what we made available—the bed of a pick-up truck for his stage.
Not only was his rate reasonable, he did a great job! His vocals, musical style, and experience reading the room made for a fantastic time. He engaged our guests, played music that entertained all ages, and kept the evening flowing beautifully. We thoroughly enjoyed the three hour set to the fullest and his performance made for a memorable evening.
We highly recommend Tyler to others for his professionalism and courtesy. His attendance at our event made us so glad that we did not opt for a DJ—he made it a night to remember, and for this we will call on him again.

I can’t begin to say how much we enjoyed our evening with Preston. His song selection was perfect and his instrumental talent and voice range was without a blemish. I mean, when he sings a Johnny Cash or Chris Stapleton song and you turn your head, you might think you invited them as well. You won’t go wrong if you hire him—besides, he’s just a genuinely nice guy!

If you want a performer to entertain and energize your guests, Tyler Preston is the person you should hire. Tyler impressed me with his professionalism and enthusiasm from the second I spoke with him. Tyler's repertoire spans over many genres of music including Top 40, Pop, Rock, Country, Blues, 70', 80's. 90's and had our corporate guests hypnotized throughout the evening. The managers at the venue and several guests asked for his contact information for future performances. Tyler's Super Star performance made me look like a Rock Star event planner.

We recently hired Tyler to provide entertainment during our welcome reception at the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Proficiency Training Conference in San Antonio, TX. With very little pre-event direction, Tyler read the crowd and seemed to always find the perfect song for the crowd. Ranging from Country to Pop, to Blues and everything in-between, Tyler provided an amazing set for us. In fact, during our set, the hotel event coordinator asked for his contact information because she was impressed with him.

Tyler played at our ranch for a retirement celebration that had about 70 people. The crowd was older and we wanted there to be space for everyone to chat and mingle. Tyler knew exactly what songs to play and at a really comfortable volume. Every single song was a good fit, and he played and sung every one of them beautifully. Every song- Every single one- was played and sung beautifully. Everybody really loved the music. Tyler was very professional the whole time. I highly recommend him and am definitely going to book him again. The only critique I have is he is he should charge more!! A private concert with that level of talent was priceless. Born into a military family and raised on the road, Tyler Preston never had a hometown. He never drove a tractor. He never roped a steer. He never went fishing in the creek. He never climbed the local water tower to paint his girlfriend's name on the side.
Instead, ever since he cut the apron strings, Preston has made a name for himself on the highways and byways of this great land, rockin' and rollin’ back and forth from coast to coast with nothing but his trusty guitar and duffel bag tow, in search of the American Dream and in love with the freedom of the open road.
Point being: Tyler Preston may not be your typical country troubadour, but he's the genuine article: road-worn, friendly, and honest to a fault, with a beat up old guitar case full of songs that will speak to your heart.

Since 2009, Tyler Preston has performed throughout the US, playing 200+ shows a year in Austin, Nashville, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, San Francisco, Seattle, and more. Career highlights include opening slots for Wade Bowen, Trampled By Turtles, and Aaron Lewis, and most recently he was awarded 2021 Entertainer of The Year by the Farson Group.
When he's not on the road, Tyler enjoys spending time at home with his wife and kids and seeking out new and exotic varieties of hot sauce for his extensive collection.
