I'll connect with you before your event—via email, phone, or in-person meeting (I prefer in-person)—to plan the details: timing, repertoire, tone, and logistics. I work from a set repertoire, but you can request specific pieces. If you have a piece in mind that I don't have prepared, I can learn it for your event.

I arrive early to set up my equipment, warm up, and get familiar with the space. During your event, I perform professionally and unobtrusively—the music enhances the moment without taking focus. If your venue has an organist or pianist, I'll coordinate with them. For ensemble performances like string quartets, I'll work with whoever is coordinating those musicians.

I'm a freelance trumpet player based in Raleigh, NC, with a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
I have extensive experience playing solo and ensemble church music, pit orchestras for ballet and musical theatre, and big band. I serve as principal trumpet for the Triangle Youth Ballet's annual Nutcracker. I've also performed with the Triangle Brass Band, Triangle Wind Ensemble, and Neuse River Big Band.
For weddings, corporate events, memorial services, and other formal occasions, I work solo with organ or piano accompaniment, or collaborate with string quartets, brass ensembles, and other musicians depending on what the event needs. Playing in church settings has given me experience with both precision and sensitivity in performance.
