Tulsa Tarot Reader

A small, dressed table in a quieter corner of your event: black cloth, a patterned runner, a brass lamp, a candle, the deck, and a framed sign. I arrive before your guests and set it up myself.

Guests come over one at a time or in pairs, sit down, and get a short reading on whatever they want to look at. Three to five minutes each at a busy party, longer at a smaller gathering. I read the cards out loud and we talk it through. It's grounded and conversational, no theatrics and no fortune-telling, so it works for a mixed crowd and for the guest who "doesn't believe in this stuff." Nobody is put on the spot and nothing heavy comes up.

From your side: you give me a corner and, if you have them, a table and two chairs. I handle the rest, including bringing the table if you don't have one. No outlet needed. I stay for the booked time, read for as many guests as fit, and pack up quietly when it's over.

What you get is a piece of entertainment that doesn't stop the party. Guests drift over, sit, leave with something to talk about, and the rest of the room carries on.

I'm Tyler, a tarot reader based in Tulsa. I read at parties, weddings, corporate events, festivals and markets across the Tulsa metro, and I do private one-on-one sittings in town.

How a reading goes. Guests sit down one at a time, or in pairs if they'd rather, and ask about whatever they actually want to look at: work, a move, a relationship, the year ahead. I turn the cards, read them out loud, and we talk it through. It's a structured conversation, not a prediction. I don't claim to see the future, contact anyone, or read minds, and I keep away from health, death and anything that belongs to a counselor. Nobody is put on the spot. Skeptics are welcome and tend to get the most out of it.

Two ways to book me. Hosted: you book the time and readings are free for your guests. This is the usual arrangement for parties, weddings and corporate events. Vendor-style: for markets, festivals and breweries, I set up as a vendor and guests pay a few dollars for a short reading, at no cost to the organizer.

What I bring. The cloth, the deck, a brass lamp, the decor and a small sign. If your venue has a table and two chairs, I dress them. If not, tell me and I bring the table. I can run without an outlet, so patios and backyards work as well as ballrooms. What I need from you is a quieter corner where a guest can hear and be heard.

Headcount. At a busy party each reading runs three to five minutes so more guests get a turn; at a dinner for eight, longer. Tell me the guest count and how long you want me there and I'll tell you honestly how many readings fit and whether one reader is enough for the room.

Events I fit. Birthday and holiday parties. Halloween and Gatsby or art deco nights, where the deck matches the theme without any extra styling. Wedding cocktail hours and receptions. Bridal showers and rehearsal dinners. Corporate holiday parties, client appreciation nights and team socials. School and community events, with the organizer's guidelines and a lighter touch. Festivals, makers markets and brewery pop-ups.

The deck. Mostly the Aquarian Tarot, a 1970s deco-revival deck whose geometry happens to match this city's downtown. I also carry the Radiant Wise Spirit Tarot, closer to the classic Rider-Waite-Smith imagery, for anyone who knows those cards.

Where. Tulsa and the metro: Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby, Sand Springs, Owasso, Sapulpa and the communities around them, with no travel fee. Further out is possible for larger events and quoted individually.

Pricing. Private events start at $300 for up to two hours, with additional time at $125 an hour. Weddings, school events, corporate events and large gatherings are quoted individually. Events and weddings are held with a non-refundable deposit, with the balance due on the day. I reply to every inquiry within forty-eight hours.

Space: a card table's worth of floor space in a quieter corner, somewhere a guest can hear and be heard without the whole room listening in. Indoors or out.

Furniture: a small table and two chairs if you have them; I dress them. If not, tell me when we book and I bring a table and chairs.

Power: none required. The lamp is battery powered. A nearby outlet is welcome but not needed.

Sound and lighting: none. I don't use a microphone or amplification, and I bring my own lamp. Please don't place me directly beside speakers or a DJ; a guest needs to hear me at conversational volume.

Setup and teardown: about twenty minutes each side. I arrive before guests do.

Load-in: everything fits in one bag plus, if needed, a folding table. No special access, parking or loading dock required.

Outdoors: shade before sundown is helpful; the lamp covers after. In wind I weight the cards and keep going. I stop for rain.

Duration: private events include up to two hours; additional time at $125 an hour. Tell me the headcount and I'll say how many readings fit and whether a second reader is warranted.

Content: readings are grounded and conversational. No health, death or predictions of that kind, and nothing that belongs to a counselor. For school, campus or youth events I follow the organizer's guidelines and keep readings light.

Travel: Tulsa and the metro at no charge. Outside the metro by arrangement.
