Gillian Chreptyk

If you like to hire me for your event, I can send you a repertoire list of pieces that are ready to perform. Depending on how much time prior to the event date, feel free to request any pieces, and I can make them my priority to learn.
For church services and weddings I can supply my own organist, but it's always easier if I collaborate with those who regularly play at the church.

For a wedding, the sound of a trumpet is often well-received when the bride is walking down the aisle, the signing of the register, and as the ceremony ends and guests start to leave.

For a church service, I often play as a prelude to the service, during the offertory, and a postlude as the congregation is leaving.

Any other occasion can be worked out, do not hesitate to ask!

Gillian has been playing the trumpet for 10 years and although it is still early in her career, she has developed into a spirited musician in many genres of performance. For the past three years Gillian has sat in the lead chair position with the Toronto All Star Big Band and has played over 100 private galas, theatre shows, and weddings with the group. The band has also toured many
music festivals in the southern Ontario, as well as Clarinda, Iowa and the Villages, Florida. Currently, she is the band’s first substitute trumpet player.

As a soloist, Gillian well-requested in churches around the GTA, playing at many services around Toronto during the Remembrance Day, Easter and Christmas seasons.

This year, Gillian is excited to be the principal trumpet of the Linus Chamber Orchestra – a Toronto based group that celebrates the greatest works in chamber music.

Currently she is in the middle of her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto where she performs contemporary and classical concert band pieces with the Wind Ensemble and a vast amount of repertoire with her own brass quintet.
