Overview
I can officiate and DJ weddings, host karaoke and trivia nights, and emcee corporate parties or nonprofit fundraisers.
So why pick me? Because I care that all of my events turn out awesome. I take notes on what is needed and wanted, I check out the venue beforehand, I show up early in case my setup hits a snag, and I enthusiastically work the mic to ensure that everyone has a great time. In short, I love doing this and I pass on that good feeling to everyone I can.

We celebrate 3 birthdays with karaoke Troy, Our guest had such a blast, our party was 80’s theme and it was so much fun seeing everyone dressed up and watching them sing their favorite songs. Troy kept the guest entertained and we had an amazing night. The night went by so fast, but that is what happens when you are having fun. I would highly recommend Troy for any family event. From the pre-planning details to the night itself, Troy was top notch. His communication was thorough and ongoing. He came to the venue weeks prior to the event to discuss setup, and he prompted me with ideas, as a professional does, when I was indecisive. I gave Troy a space....and said "you do what you do" . He made it amazing.
Troy intrracted with guests, kept the music going, went with the flow of the night, and kept everyone happy. The party was a great success and I couldnt have done it without him. Thank you Troy!!! The guests had a blast. I look forward to more Karaoke in the future.

What to Expect
If I am hired to emcee an event, the audience can expect clear communication, gentle humor, and a well-paced event. I will keep them smiling, but I know that the event is not about me. I will use my voice, gestures, and facial expressions to encourage the desired level of engagement and energy. I will keep the audience informed as to what is coming up, introduce other participants with the appropriate level of gravity or levity, and remind the audience of anything they need to know (i.e., how much time left in a silent auction, drink specials, etc). I am amusing and friendly but I keep to the desired tone of the meeting and strive to make everyone feel welcome.
About
My name is Troy. I am a young 50 years old (I think the technical term is "immature") and I love interacting with people. I can speak in public, sing, and am quick-witted and fun. I am also a former and current contest-winning Toastmaster who excels in connecting with an audience and providing humor and warmth.
When I emcee an event, I keep things moving and lively so no one gets bored and we remain on schedule. My goal is for everyone to leave an event impressed by whatever was being presented. I should be a positive afterthought.
As a karaoke DJ, I go out of my way to make certain the customers have fun and feel valued. My goals are to provide a party atmosphere, establish a comfort level for anyone to sing, and to increase business at the bar. I sang karaoke for many years before deciding to do this, so I have insight into what the customers want and need to have a good time.
Additional Booking Notes
I have some older sound equipment but am also willing to use yours. I can bring a sound board, four speakers, a wired microphone and two wireless mics.
