Overview
I’m a Chicago-based trombonist with a BA in Jazz Studies from Loyola Chicago. I am comfortable performing in jazz small groups, big bands/swing bands, brass choir/church ensembles, pop music horn sections, and more! I am passionate about my instrument, and will always aim to sound my best and bring positive energy into any environment. If you'd like to book a jazz group for an event, I also lead a drum-less trio (trombone, piano, upright bass), as well as a jazz quartet (trombone, piano, bass, drums). About
Asha Egmont (she/her) is a trombonist and bandleader in the Chicago area. She studied at Loyola University Chicago, receiving a degree in Music (Jazz Studies), as well as Environmental Science. Asha specializes in jazz and funk music, and is a member of trombone and horn sections for various groups (wedding/corporate event bands, swing bands, church orchestras, Latin Pop groups, and more!). Additionally, Asha leads a drum-less jazz trio in the Chicago area, in which she performs her original works and arrangements of jazz standards and popular music with the accompaniment of piano and upright bass.
