Trev was the perfect addition to our wedding. He provided music to welcome guests and for our cocktail hour. Our guests said he was a vibe! He played great music and totally set the tone for the wedding! We couldn't have asked for anyone better! Thank you, Trev!!

Amazing

We had the pleasure of having him play at our wedding. Trev is and was amazing! He was super communicative from the beginning to the end. My family and friend are still talking about how he moved the crowd. Will be booking again and others.

What to expect

Music is the form of art that people can hear. From that perspective, a quiet room is essentially an empty canvas that is ready to be painted. My music is designed to give color to that room. I take pride in setting an atmosphere that is happy, peaceful, enticing, and romantic. My setlist is so diverse that it quickly becomes a game of “what’s next” as I intrigue the audience with selections you wouldn’t expect would sound nice on a saxophone. With my friendly demeanor and desire to serve, my audience feels welcomed and encouraged to dance to my selections, talk to me about their own happiness and personal experiences that were triggered by my songs, and even challenge me by putting me on the spot with their own choice of song. I promise a lasting impression that will suit your live music needs.

About

Trevor “Trev” Hicks is a native to Lynchburg, Virginia and found his love for music at a young age. Since the 6th grade, Trev picked up the saxophone and hasn’t put it down.
Trev holds a bachelor's degree in music from Liberty University. Through his time there he was an active participant of the marching band, pep band, wind ensemble, orchestra, saxophone quartet, jazz band, jazz combos, and indoor-drumline earning the title “authentic band geek”.
Since graduation, Trev has shared his talents with audiences around the world. As a member of Global Missions Project, an organization that sends musicians around the world to preach the gospel through music, Trev has been able to immerse himself in diverse music styles and cultures in his time abroad. Realizing that music has no language barrier, he has opened doors to being available for performances beyond the US; an international saxophonist if need be.
Trev also has shared the stage with many musicians and bands locally and abroad, some of which include: Hustle Souls based out of Asheville, North Carolina and Lynchburg’s own Apple Butter Soul, Tony Camm and the Funk-Allstars, and Bell Avenue Blues Band.
Currently, Trev has adopted the role of solo playing. Providing up to 13 hours of music ranging from old classics and jazz standards to pop tunes on today’s radio. Trev’s music can serve a soothing background or put on a show at your next event.
If you are interested in booking Trev for a show or event, please submit an inquiry through the booking section.

Additional booking notes

My setup is very simple: speaker, sax, tip jar, and business. I operate using bluetooth speakers while I perform. A small handheld one for small rooms, a 250w amp for larger rooms and small outdoor events, and a 500w Bluetooth speaker for large auditoriums and outdoor events. Only thing I would typically require is access to a three-pronged outlet.

Set list

My set list is over 300 songs including Christmas songs!! Here are some examples
Dixie chicks-landslide
Maroon Five- Sunday morning, moves like mcjagger, she will be loved
John mayor- vultures, gravity, stop this train, daughters, free Fallin,
Stevie Wonder- superstition, I wish, ribbon in the sky
Alicia keys- if it ain’t you, unbreakable
Frank Sinatra- fly me to the moon, come fly with me, funny valentines,
Ella Fitzgerald- moonlight in Vermont, someone to watch over me, you can’t take that away from me, summertime
Bruno Mars- talking to the moon, that’s what I like, Versace on the floor, locked out of Heaven, leave the door open, smoking out the window, just the way you are, Treasure
Nat king Cole- orange colored sky, LOVE, the Christmas song, when I fall in love, almost like being in love
Louis Armstrong- wonderful world, when the saints go marching in, basin street blues
