10/10. Professional, personable, entertaining, and his tricks were mind boggling. Despite watching him like a hawk his close up magic fooled us all. Would highly recommend.

December 15, 2025Everyone really enjoyed Travis
Travis did a wonderful job entertaining our group. I had nothing but positive feedback from everyone that came, including the owner and his wife. So well done Travis. I still can't figure out how that card ended up in your wallet! lol!

December 8, 2025Lots of fun was had by all!
Travis did an amazing job of enjoying everyone ahead of his main performance. He went up to everyone who arrived prior to dinner service so they'd have seen some close-up magic. We even got a few takeaways from the magic he showed (bent coins and such).
He was very fair with the skeptics and included them in his act. We also loved that he showed a few of us a magic trip to show others at the end of the night!

December 2, 2025Travis at Holiday Party = Amazing!
Travis was a hit at our holiday party. He really understood the room and was truly amazing at each table finishing with a finale on stage. If you are looking for a magician at your party who can really bring people together and WOW them, look no further. He is your guy.
The team cannot stop talking about how great he was.

What to expect
In close-up mingling performance Travis works the room, performing magic for small groups of people. He breaks the ice, connects people who might not know each other yet, and keeps the energy up — you'll know where he is in the room from the explosions of laughter and amazement. People hire Travis to entertain: before dinner during the cocktail reception at company events and weddings; all evening at parties; to walk around at outdoor events and perform for people waiting in line-ups, and lots more. This style of performance is very flexible!
In a stage performance — "stage" can mean anything from a living room or a backyard to a conference room or a thousand seat theatre — Travis performs a 30-60 minute show for everyone at once. The show is fast, funny, and involves people from the audience in ways that aren't embarrassing. The magic is varied and reflects Travis's wide interests and experience. Sleight of hand, mind reading, occasionally even a touch of hypnosis — anything Travis thinks is good!
About
Travis started out as a street performer in 2008. After a couple of years and hundreds of street shows he felt like he was maybe starting to get the hang of live performance, and in 2010 began a move indoors, touring the Canadian Fringe Festival circuit and doing shows for corporate events.
After a couple of years touring with the great theatre artists on the Fringe, he was inspired to start training in improvisational theatre and clown, and eventually created improv shows for the Fringe as well. He has the distinction of having the only improv show to have won a Pick of the Fringe award in the history of the Vancouver Fringe — and twice, with two different shows!
Travis makes his living performing, but in recent years he's started training other magicians: offering writing, directing and dramaturgical support for magicians at all phases of their careers. With Wes Barker he also wrote a book, Abracadumbass, on Wes's life and magic.
