Digital video technology applied to your events or projects with the eye of an artist and the soul of a poet. I have been creating "mini-documentaries" on film and video for events, promotions, training and other purposes for over 20 years.

My skill set is primarily in creating expertly crafted stories. I bring the tools, the talent and the technology to embrace and record the soul of an event in memorable images. I can work documentary style - capturing events as they happen, or I can work cinematically - creating a compelling video before the fact that evokes the emotional essence you want those attending your event to understand and experience. Many clients hire me for both types of work. I create cinematic videos to be played at announcement parties, grand openings, fundraising events for non-profits, memorial services, retirement parties and corporate anniversaries or other celebrations. I create promotional and demonstration videos for corporate communications, trade show exhibits and websites. I work documentary style for major architectural projects, expeditions and journeys of discovery, and for projects documenting extraordinary developments. I do only a very limited number of higher-end weddings but those I chose to do receive an EXCELLENT product.
Film and video production has been a life-long passion - I grew up in Los Angeles where my father worked the studios - I started working with him at age 14. I cut my teeth on feature films, television and TV commercials and then music video production in Hollywood, Burbank, Studio City and elsewhere in Greater L.A. Those studios were my playground and then my classroom, especially while I was doing my best to avoid college at the Communication Sciences Department at Cal State Fullerton, until the faculty ran out of ideas about how to keep me from graduating. I moved to The Pacific Northwest in 1997 to take a job as Marketing Manager at a technology firm in downtown Seattle. That lasted 5 years and I "quit my day job" and went to work for myself as a marketing consultant, as Topside Marketing LLC. Video was always a part of that but as the online marketing landscape evolved, video became more and more important as a BtoB marketing tool, especially with the advent of Social Media. The time came when I felt the best way forward was to return to my roots and thus Topside Marketing morphed into Topside ProMedia.
I bring all of my own gear, so you really don't need to worry about that. I do prefer a well-lit stage and a clean and clear feed from the venue sound system, but I can work around these if they become a problem.
