What to expect

I play folk, country, acoustic blues and Americana music. I generally play 45 to 50 minute sets with a 15 minute break (I'm not as young as I used to be so playing straight through isn't an option). I will play guitar and sing recognizable popular songs of all the genres mentioned above. As well as a few original songs per set. Sometimes I will play harmonica with the guitar. I'm personable and friendly with the crowd and enjoy when they sing along.

About

I have been playing in bands since I was 16, many moons ago. I have played all over the Midwest and on public radio in Oxford Mississippi with the duo Brother Hiram. When my band mate left for Florida to live on a sailboat I concentrated on writing and recording. Now I'm wanting to play out and about again as a solo act.

Additional booking notes

I have my own PA, lights, microphones, stands, etc so I can play just about anywhere. If I am playing a venue that has a PA system I prefer to have someone in house run the board. I will just plug my guitar into one channel and my mic into another channel. I will bring my own mic, mic stand, and guitar stand. My biggest concern is that I have a place to safely keep the bags and cases while I perform.

Set list

Here some of the songs I play:
Bertha-Grateful Dead
Early Morning Rain-Gordon Lightfoot
Two Dollars In The Jukebox-Eddie Rabbit
Railroad Boy-Joan Baez
Lodi-Creedence Clearwater Revival
Teach Your Children-Crosby Stills and Nash
Older Guys-Flying Burrito Brothers
Doctor My Eyes-Jackson Brown
Honky Tonk Heroes-Billy Joe Shavers
Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On-Mel McDaniels
The Weight-The Band
Aint Livin' Long Like This-Rodney Crowell
Hurt-Johnny Cash Version
And a few original songs per set

Influences and inspiration

I'm a big fan of Steve Earle and Towns Van Zandt. I also like Neil Young quite a bit. But I sound more like Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings.

Setup requirements

I will need grounded power near the performance area. At least two outlets.

I will need a performance area of at least 6 feet by 6 feet

I will need access to the performance area at least one hour prior to the performance

If the performance area is un-covered I will have a pavillion tent to perform under in case it rains
