March 10, 2026Tom is the real deal!
Tom was wonderful to work with. He was in constant communication with me and was able to be flexible with the scheduled time and location. We had him play for our St. Patio’s party at 1885 Grill Kennesaw. He wore the full bagpiper attire and really set the tone. Some of our guests requested songs and he was able to deliver. He shared with me that he is KSU’s official bagpiper for their commencement ceremonies. When he didn’t have an audience, he would go towards the street to bring more people in. I am so pleased with how the night went. Thank you, Tom! We are looking forward to having you again!

January 17, 2026Our annual Burns night
Our Burns night was great with the help of the piper. The was my year to coordinate our event. Playing the bagpipes was the highlight of our event because we did not tell anyone that we were having pipes. It’s set a next level for our next year‘s event.

March 9, 2025Prompt, professional & talented...
I hired Tom off the Gig-Salad site stemming from a long-time promise to my late sweet mother in law who always told me she always wanted 'Amazing Grace' on bagpipes played at her funeral... I so wanted to keep that promise after my Mom in Law passed suddenly and Tom was the 1st one to respond promptly to my request and would make the long trip from Metro-Atlanta area to a small country cemetery in little Rising Fawn, GA in Northwest Ga...for a graveside memorial service just 2 days later... Tom arrived early and was very professional, reverent/respectful. He played 'Going Home' as the Pall Bearers carried her from the hearse to the grave site... and 'I'll Fly Away' in middle of a pause in the memorial ceremony and her beautiful favorite, 'Amazing Grace' as the service came to a close. Tom's professionalism, his full Scottish Bagpiper attire, his reverence, his bagpipe music talent overall was well complimented by all of the family & friends present. I would hire and recommend Tom Crawford again when/if I had it to do all over again. Thank you Gig-Salad... Thank you Tom Crawford, for helping me keep a solemn promise to my wife's wonderful mother. May God bless you.

Jerome, thank you for allowing me to honor your mother in law with my bagpipes. What a beautiful, serene location you chose. I'm blessed to be able to serve folks like your family.

January 14, 2025Tremendous Job!
Tom was great and really came through for my daughter’s memorial. He came from Atlanta just after a snowstorm impacted the southeast. He was wonderful arriving early and stayed through to the end playing more than we had requested and we appreciated him. Would highly recommend.

October 7, 2024Great Job! Bagpipe Sounded Fantastic!
I hired Tom for an annual golf event that I organize. I try to do something a little different and special every year, and it was a surprise for my group to hear a bagpiper walking out onto the course. There is something magical about a bagpipe on a golf course, and Tom did an excellent job. He showed up early, and sounded great. I highly recommend his services.

About
Tom Crawford was born in New Jersey, but has lived more than half his life in the Atlanta GA area. Growing up just outside NYC, he learned to play rock, folk, blues and country music on guitar and bass. He expanded his skills to include the tin whistle, mandolin, banjo, bouzouki, and pedal steel guitar. Tom started college at age 16 as a music major and eventuallly graduated with a degree in Urban Planning. Tom founded Presentation Visuals Inc., a computer-graphic business communication company in 1984. PVI eventually morphed into Atlanta Web Service LLC, a web services firm specializing in the needs of small business, associations and non-profits.
Tom moved to the Atlanta area in 1980 on a lark and now lives in Marietta, GA. His two grown children are Georgia natives but now reside in Abuja, Nigeria, and Morristown NJ.
Highlights from my piping career include performing with The Chieftains in Atlanta and Athens GA, The Celtic Women at the Fox Theater, Rod Stewart at Philips Arena, and at the UT half-time show in Knoxville TN. I've toured the Ring of Kerry in Ireland and Western Ontario, Canada with my folk band, Keltic Kudzu. I'm equally proud of my work for many Relays for Life and American Cancer Society Golf Tournaments and events.
