Tom Burgess is a singing solo acoustic guitarist (with a touch of harmonica, and layered loops with sizzling lead guitar) from New England. Playing Florida in the winter season, and New England in the summer, Tom provides high quality acoustic performances custom tailored to the audience's wishes.
Influenced by bands from the 70's through today, Tom can cover it all. Most sets can include the best classic rock, classic and current country, and the best of 90's rock.
Tom has played over 2000 shows since 2009, and knows how to entertain every crowd. Whether you need a musician for your cocktail hour, private event, or venue, Tom will provide a memorable performance!

December 15, 2022We had Tom play at our beach wedding for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. He was exactly what we wanted for our special day. He was an amazing guitar player and singer and had an incredible amount of songs he knew. He was easy to communicate with and reliable. Tom truly made our wedding one-of-a-kind and so memorable with his live music. A must hire if you are looking for acoustic music for your wedding day!!!

A typical event would include you getting the most reliable, and consistent acoustic performer available. Tom has never canceled a show, or been late to a performance.
An event that has Tom as the performer, would be an event where the audience can be free to do as they choose. The audience can interact, and make requests, or Tom can simply provide background music. Its up to the crowd. From the room the size of a coffee shop, to playing to a huge outdoor crowd, Tom has it covered. With enough notice, Tom can learn songs ahead of time if needed.
At 36 years old, Tom Burgess is a weathered veteran of the New England and Florida music scene, playing 2000 shows in over 200 venues since 2009. He has played in all corners of New England, from Maine to New York, and as far south as Ft. Lauderdale. Tom now plays mostly in Rhode Island and CT, delivering a blend of Americana and Folk music in his songs. Some of his influences include The Rolling Stones, Santana, Tom Petty, Neil Young, The Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, and more. His voice has been described as a blend between James Taylor and Eric Clapton.
Tom plays from RI to FL currently. You can catch him at least twice a week, and most of the time more than that. No show is too far or too crazy to pull off, just inquire and Tom will try to make it work!
