Tod Macofsky

Tod Macofsky is a native of Los Angeles and performed there for over 40 years before relocating to the desert in 2021. After studying theatre directing at UCLA, he began singing in various cruise ship production shows over a span of twelve years. Tod was a proud member of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles for 20 years. He toured the country in the musical it gets better, a show based on the hugely successful anti-bullying campaign started by Dan Savage. Desert Theatricals audiences will remember him as Corny Collins in Hairspray, Applegate in Damn Yankees and Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun for which he received a Desert Theatre League Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical. Tod’s show 1963 was featured as part of Cabaret6 at the Revolution as well as Desert Theatricals’ recent cabaret series in Rancho Mirage. He performs frequently at PS Underground and PS Air. I have my own high quality in-line tower sound system which is great for any size room. I have a 25' extension cord to plug into a power source. I have a Shure 55 microphone which not only sounds fantastic but it also has that midcentury retro look. I would need just basic lighting for an indoor or evening performance.
