Timothy R. Smith

Tim is vitally interested in understanding YOUR goals for your event. He can be an added ingredient with some light instrumental background, or he can totally engage with your group and take the event into whatever audience interaction you want, from a roaring singalong with open mike or a faith-based retreat.

Knowing your requirements, Tim uses his music to connect with your group in a unique and memorable way.

As a veteran entertainer, Tim has played a wide range of venues from private parties, Irish gigs, church concerts and conferences, and youth rallies. As a recording producer, Smith has produced numerous commercial recordings, industrial video scores, as well as original music production for GM new model car reveal events at the Detroit Auto Show. Smith has a broad range of experience as a choral director, educator and music director. Smith has performed his music extensively with his band TR Smith & The Sacred Music Band, combining rock, blues, pop, and classical idioms.

Smith has a Bachelor of Music degree from Michigan State University and Master of Music degree in Music Composition from Oakland University, Rochester Hills, MI, where he studied with Stanley Hollingsworth.

Tim is Music Director at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Waterford, MI.

Tim is happy to use your piano, but he has a state of the art rig with digital piano and sound system for any occasion.
