After years as a young stand up comic in NYC, passing the time in Iraq as a U.S. Army Officer, youth pastor and 8 track player repairman, he is back and more passionate than ever to encourage others through laughter.

February 20, 2020If you have not had the pleasure of seeing Timothy Banister perform you are missing out!! Not only is he a great clean comedian, he is a truly amazing family man! Everyone who got the chance to speak with Tim said the same thing, "he's just like a part of the family". We will definitely bring him back again!!

November 8, 2018Tim was wonderful! It was all clean and respectful, and he drew the children in the audience into his realm, with jokes they could relate to. He personalized some of his jokes to our pastor and elders. He made even our stodgiest deacon chuckle and everyone else slap their knees and laugh out loud. I think I even heard a few guffaws! It was all clean and respectful. We all felt like he was one of church family. He was a great culmination to a busy week of activities, and we would love to have him back again!

January 29, 2018Tim was great. If you want someone who is relatable, humble, and really funny, then he is your guy. I attended an event that he was a part of a few months back and was excited to have him share his comedy at our event. He connected really well with our group, which can be a challenge. (We don't call Lutherans the frozen chosen for nothing!) The length of his bit was perfect and fit the event perfectly. His comedy is clean, relatable, and funny. He hung out beforehand and had dinner with us, and chatted with folks afterward to follow up with those that he roped up into his jokes. A true class act.

Tim began doing stand up comedy in NYC after graduating from the University of Georgia in 1994. He honed his comedy skills in NYC for 2 years and then moved back to Atlanta where he continued working in comedy clubs all over Georgia. Before finally taking up stand up as a full time job, Tim has been a youth pastor, U.S. Army Officer and restaurant general manager. His passion is sharing laughter with others!
He is happily married to his beautiful wife Tina and father of three beautiful little girls.
