What to expect
When I do a solo acoustic show, I perform a mix of covers songs and original music. The covers typically range from pop to blues to country to Christian. If there are certain songs you would like me to perform, please let me know ahead of time so I can learn them. I do not perform songs containing profane lyrics. I put on a clean, family-friendly show exerting a positive vibe. I don't use loops or computers. I simply play acoustic guitar and sing. Those are my basic parameters for performing solo acoustic shows. If those terms sound agreeable to you, feel free to send me a message. Thanks for your time and consideration, and may God bless you!
About
Timo Arthur boasts an impressive musical resumé that spans nearly thirty years of professional experience. An alumnus of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, he has worked professionally in multiple genres of music rangning from blues to rock to R&B to calypso and more. He has traveled and lived abroad as a professional musician, and continues to add to his list of accomplishments. From winning the Atlanta Blues Challenge in the solo/duo category with bassist Tamara Nicolai in 2013, as well as winning the Massachusetts Blues Challenge with singer Diane Blue in the band category in 2011, to multi-month performance residencies in Shanghai, China, to performing at stadiums in the Caribbean to 10,000+ fans alongside top-billed calypso artists, to placing in the top 1% of songwriters in songwriting competitions, Timo Arthur always makes a positive statement.
Born on June 10, 1974, Timo (given name Timothy) grew up in Milford, Connecticut. Hailing from a musical family, his mother was a semi-professional concert cellist, and also played piano and flute at home, while his father played guitar, piano, and percussion at their home as well. Timo's paternal grandfather and uncles, whom he never met, were also professional musicians in Barbados, his father's native country. After expressing interest in music at age eight, his parents gave him a guitar for Christmas. He gave his first performance at age 10 at a school talent show. He would go on to spend his teens playing in multiple bands, taking on duties ranging from playing guitar and electric bass to singing and songwriting, as well as giving dozens of solo performances of his original music on guitar and piano. He made his first studio recording at age 19 consisting of four pop songs he had written, playing all instruments himself. A year later, he moved to his father's native Barbados, where within four days of his arrival, he was chosen as lead guitarist for one of the country's top-billed calypso bands. Though never having played in this style, Timo adapted quickly, proving his natural talent and musicianship. After nearly a year in Barbados, he left to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, in 1996.
Timo would go on to spend fifteen years living in Boston, performing on the New England circuit. Upon his arrival, he started hitting the blues jams and quickly became renowned as a solid guitarist and vocalist. Thus, he ended up performing, touring, and recording with many New England-based acts during his time there, as well as being recruited into three- and four-month band residencies in Shanghai, China, in the summers of 2011 and '12. After fifteen years, he decided it was time for a change and moved south, where he spent time living in Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, GA, before moving to Memphis, TN, and subsequently Springfield, IL, after being offered a full-time position as the guitarist for blues harmonica ace Brandon Santini. However, in November of 2025, Timo Arthur left Brandon Santini's band for personal reasons.

Influences and inspiration
As a singer/songwriter, I don't have any specific influences. I just have some of my favorite artists, like John Mayer, Colin Hay, Chris Stapleton, and others. I don't try to write or sound like them, I just am influenced by a general musical style or genre. I have an extensive blues background performing and touring as an electric blues guitarist, and regarding that, I have do specific influences like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Freddie King, Albert Collins, and guitarists of that nature.
