January 19, 2015Amira is a woman of many talents! Not only did she make her own costume but she did an exceptionally WONDERFUL job performing at our company's holiday party. It was a sizable venue and there were a couple of changes to the evening's events but she was able to adapt seamlessly. Most of the feedback I received on the party was people raving about how great the entertainment was so f I ever hold an event of this nature again, I will hire Amira in a heartbeat.

I normally offer "site animation" style performance, where I mix & mingle with an crowd, dancing if there's music, cracking jokes and chatting in character, and many people LOVE to take photos with me.
I also do performance with mask/without talking for a more formal or "enheightened" ambience. Much of the spectacle of stilt performance is in the visual, so I make my costumes as fantastic as possible and appropriate to the event.
Normally I do one, two, three or four sets of 30 - 45 minutes. My rates are based on the duration of performance asked, with considerations like extra costuming, travel, and insurance requirements. I take care to make a clear contract before any event so there is no stress and no confusion!
Hi, my name is Amira Emma Routledge and my tiny theatre company is called Three Metre Theatre. I have been a professional stilt performer since 2008, and had many fantastic experiences stilting for all sorts of events since then. My performance background comes from dance, clown, spectacle arts and a BFA in Theatre. I also started doing giant bubble shows in 2021; I hope to combine stilts and bubbles someday soon! I really love site animation for events.
I make my own costumes, having worked in costumes, mask and puppet-making my entire career. I can do custom outfits - just ask me!
