This is the 4th event the great Thomas Reich has done for Shari and I. This was our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding. We did not even consider anyone else. We highly recommend him for any and all events! Great job as always Thomas!

Tom played for a work happy hour event at a rooftop bar in San Diego and I cannot say enough great things! He was on time and had all of his equipment set up well before the event started and played for 2 1/2 hours straight. He played a little bit of everything which was great for our diverse audience. Tom was incredibly professional, kind, and a great musician that really set the mood. Highly recommend!!

Thomas has done multiple events for me. They are all high class dress events with 8 or more course dinners. He shows up donned in a tuxedo and plays the piano exceptionally. Ha adapts well to guests who want to sing.fantastic!

What to expect
The music I play is a mixture of classical, jazz, pop, swing, Broadway show tunes and many more. Request from guest are always welcome and encouraged. For weddings, anniversary's, cocktail parties, or any occasion that requires pleasant, upbeat and not blaring loud music. If there are songs you would like to have performed, please feel free to let me know and I will be glad to play them.
About
Having played in small groups (duo's, trio's) to Big Bands I have been exposed to a variety of musical styles. I don't like to be classified as a "Jazz Pianist" or "Classical Pianist" because I play a variety of music from both. I have a B.A. in Music from U.C. Riverside but spent 2 years at Berklee College of Music (in Boston). A few years after I graduated and was playing thru out San Diego, I started Graduate school at San Diego State. It hit me mid-semester that I didn't want to write papers, I wanted to be a musician. So, I studied with Bud Conway from (phone number hidden)7. Bud was a jazz pianist who studied Classical music. He was a mentor and great teacher. As mentioned earlier, Bach, Chopin, Grieg, Mendelssohn, Debussy and others from the Classical genre along with Gershwin, Ellington, Porter, Basie and others from the Jazz idiom. Pop music from the Beatles, Billy Joel, Elton John and others help round out my style.
Additional booking notes
Most of the venues have a piano and I come in, sit down and play. If there is no piano at the venue, I can bring a keyboard and sound system which has enough power to be heard in a large auditorium, no extra charge,

I play a wide range of music from Jazz Standards, Ballads, Swing tunes, Scott Joplin Rags, Tangos, Broadway Musicals; Beatles, Billy Joel, Carol King, James Taylor; Classical music (Chopin, Debussy, Mendelssohn, Bach). If you have any requests, please let me know and I will play them for you.
Influences and inspiration
I have many influences of solo pianist; to name a few Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, numerous classical pianists.
My style of playing is a mix of many pianists, both Jazz and Classical plus any other styles that I hear. As people like to classify you as a "Classical Pianist" or "Jazz Pianist", I simply say "I am a pianist, who plays a variety of styles.
