Wheeland Brothers represent Southern California's love affair with Hawaiian stoke and hole-in-the-wall Mexican food. The result is "beach rock reggae" with a splash of ukulele that sums up SoCal beach culture, wraps it up like a burrito, and makes you want to eat every sandy mouthful.
Today the Wheeland Brothers band pumped out an excellent mix of their Reggae Rock originals as well as a few covers. I was really stoked by their live sound, after listening to their first 3 albums for the last 2 weeks in anticipation of this show. They are really better live than I ever would have expected. Mucho Mahalo guys!

Alright, there are three ways we can do this:
1) Full Band
2) Full Band Acoustic (w/ Percussion instead of drums)
3) Acoustic Duo (Acoustic Guitar & Ukulele)
While SoCal hums with traffic and nightlife, you'll find the Wheeland Brothers kicking back around a cozy bonfire in a hidden beach cove, cerveza in hand, lifting a toast to the California coast and jamming songs inspired by the best summertime stories and dreams of distant shores. These two Southern Californian brothers grew up in Orange County surfing, scarfing down hole-in-the wall Mexican food, and jamming around bonfires. Their music has a sound which they describe as "beach rock reggae"; born out of midnight surf sessions, beach house parties, and ventures to far away coastlines.
Fast forward to 2014 and they have played Firefly, Wakarusa, High Sierra and Summer Camp Music Festivals, have supported national acts such as but not limited to 311, Bob Marley's legendary band The Wailers and Slightly Stoopid, are currently being spun on radio stations nationwide in addition to Music Choice on TV and have received commercial syncs with Forever 21 and Hollister Co.
Band has full PA and all required equipment. Band does not supply stage or lighting. Band gets stoked when buyer supplies ice cold beer, esp. Red Stripe, anything from Mexico, or Hinano ;) Muchos mahalos!
