The Violin Shredder
Overview
Hi there! My name is Job (pronounced “Jobe”). I am a multi-musician, but my primary instrument is the violin. I’ve played violin for 15 years and I’m very flexible in my skills. I used to play in orchestras for my first 8 years (Honor Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, etc.). I’m very experimental so I explored how much I can add violin to other things so I played “oboe” on the violin. I was the only string player for an Honor’s band. I have perfect pitch hearing so I have improvised and played last minute music with bands and church bands. I am known for my solo artist name “Violin Shredder” where I do heavy metal violin music on the side.

What to expect
The primary goal I like to let my clients know is how high my flexibility is, even if it’s crazy. I do heavy metal violin on the side, so I don’t think it gets crazier than that (unless you prove me wrong which in that case I will congratulate you lol).
I think it is crucial for me to follow what you are looking for. Even if it’s something I’m not so experienced in, I am open to trying new things. It allows me to get out of my comfort zone and expand my skills as a musician.
I have done both live and studio work. You can quote me for a violin recording for your next project (or if you’re willing to cover travel expenses I would love to play at your studio!), slap me on a live show either alone or with bands, and much more! I LOVE playing at shows. Heck, if you feel daring and want to hear heavy metal violin music at your venue, please message me!
About
I started playing violin when I was in 4th grade. I started learning how to play without lessons, and my parents realized that I needed to take violin lessons immediately. My school had a public music lesson and started there. Ever since, I’ve participated in orchestras for the next 8 years being in school. I also played and won some talent shows along the way. I began writing my own music and playing my own shows in middle school. This was also the time when I started developing perfect pitch hearing. When I went to college to get my music production degree, I wrote, recorded, mixed, mastered, and mass produced my first album “Shredder” so I have my own setlist of songs I perform for shows on the side. I am also experimental so I play heavy metal on the side. My solo artist name is “Violin Shredder” only because I destroy my violin bows for some of my intense performances. I go through them so quickly that I had to make a bow holster to draw a new bow whenever I break my current one. I have been booked to play violin for just about every scenario. I have been asked to play shows last minute for church gigs. I’ve played open mic gigs, I’ve collaborated with bands, recording violin for studios, played for weddings, and performed my own shows.
