We hired Guy as a caricaturist for a small company event. He did a great job was prompt courteous and turned out a lot of good sketches for all of my employees in about 3 hours!

Our guests loved the chance to capture the moment with a custom caricature! Guy was personable and interactive with everyone. He handled portraits for kids as young as 5 up to 75! Upbeat, punctual and positive. Fun!

We have used Guy at several of our kids' bday parties over the years starting in 2016! He always, always delivers!!! The kids love getting the caricatures done and Guy is so sweet with all of them! The kids and parents loving having such a special take away from the party - so much better than your normal party favors that just get tossed in the trash. Could not recommend him more highly!!!!

I was so lucky to secure a spot on Guy’s calendar. And I cannot say enough about what a hit he was with our 70 guests for a 60th birthday party on Lake Lanier. He arrived early for set-up and suggested templates for the theme with colorful creative pirate hats. Guy’s professional communication for planning exceeded all expectations. The guests had so much fun with him and raved about his warm, welcoming and humorous personality. All ages loved him. Thank you, Guy, for making this surprise dinner party a success!

I had never even considered having a caricature artist at a party until my friend suggested and it was the best idea ever. Guy was the hit of the party - his work was amazing and the kids loved having a really professional, cool momento to take home that they will keep forever. He did 70+ portraits in 3 hours and they were all amazing! He was a machine and never complained, was so kind and patient with the kids. Everyone agreed it was their favorite part of the carnival and we've been doing this for 6 years! Will never have another party without The Toon Guy!

What to Expect
I have over 20 years of pro experience drawing caricatures in all types of situations. I have an easel, and provide all art supplies.
Very skilled in performing at parties, drawing all ages: I am fun and personable, but dress and behave appropriately at all times.
I arrive about a half hour early "off the clock" to offload my equipment and set up.
My sense of humor is GREAT, and I get party guests really involved and having fun while I draw.
I'd be happy to talk to you further, as well as furnish additional samples of different styles/formats of my work.
About
Also known as "The Toon Guy", Guy Staats is an Atlanta based cartoonist/caricaturist/illustrator. He earned his degree in Commercial Art at The University of Akron(Ohio) in 1983, and broke into professional caricature later that same year. Guy first spent several seasons at the Cedar Point theme park in Sandusky, Ohio. A move to Georgia followed in 1985, where Guy trained and supervised other artists at Six Flags Over Georgia, before launching his own business.
Guy is FAST, hilariously accurate, and can draw in a variety of styles and types of caricature depending on your needs. His caricatures capture the personality and look of the subject perfectly.
Equally at home at parties , festivals, or at business events, his corporate clients over the years have included Coldwell Banker, Minolta, Carter's/Oshkosh B'Gosh, Hardee's, and Edward Jones Investments.
Warm, entertaining, and humorous, The Toon Guy exhibits a unique ability to connect to an audience and the people he draws.
Guy lives in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia, and is the father of two grown daughters.
