Michael Camp — Classical Spanish Guitar Performer

Michael Camp is a professional classical Spanish guitarist and music educator with more than 30 years of performance experience. Throughout his career, he has performed extensively throughout California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Indiana, and New York, and has been hired for more than 1,000 weddings, private events, corporate gatherings, and special occasions.

As a highly experienced guitar instructor in the Los Angeles area, Michael has taught classical guitar for more than three decades. He holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Classical Guitar Performance and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Music Education.

In addition to his performing career, Michael serves in music-conservatory leadership and works with college-level guitar students, coaching seniors in preparation for recitals and ensemble performances. He is also the director of a 35-member guitar orchestra affiliated with the American Guitar Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, where he also serves as Secretary and Director of Philanthropy.

With decades of experience on concert stages and at private events, Michael brings a combination of professional musicianship, extensive repertoire, and polished performance experience to every engagement.

He arrives with everything needed for the performance, including:

For small, intimate gatherings, the amplifier is used at a very low level to gently enhance the natural acoustic sound of the guitar while maintaining an intimate atmosphere. For larger events, the professional amplification system provides clear, balanced sound suitable for wedding ceremonies, receptions, background music, and featured performances.

The amplifier allows Michael to perform effectively in a variety of settings without requiring the venue to provide a sound system, electrical power, staging, or additional equipment.
