Overview

The Simcha Orchestra of Northern California has been playing traditional Jewish music since the seventies; Yiddish swing and folksongs, Israeli songs and dances, Chassidic nigunim, and songs by Shlomo Carlebach. At full strength we are five pieces; fiddle, clarinet, trombone or tuba, guitar or oud, and dumbek. We are based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
