Mike Maione is the area’s silliest magician and everyone’s first choice when it comes to family entertainment. Mike performs magic show all over Long Island, in New York City and the greater metropolitan area. He’s the perfect entertainer for kids parties or parties of adults. Whether planning a small birthday party at home, a school show or a wedding party, Mike’s magic will get everyone laughing, having fun and scratching their heads.
Mike Maione is also Santa during the holidays and comes to your party or special event to pose for photos, give out gifts, dance with your guests, sing a carol with the crowd, measure your guest's naughty and nice levels, and even do a magic trick or two.
Mike did a wonderful job as Santa Clause. The magic tricks were an added bonus for our already excited children. Thanks so much for sticking it out in your Santa suit in 85 degree weather.
Response from The Silly Magician - Long Island's Favorite Family Magician:
You and your family are definitely on the NICE list. Have a wonderful, safe and healthy rest of the summer so you can have a very merry celebration in December.
Hired Mike for my son's first birthday. All the kids and adults thoroughly enjoyed his act. People kept asking me how I found him! Fantastic to work with. Look no further, this is the right guy for the job!
We had the most magical Christmas Eve celebration thanks to this Santa! From singing Christmas carols to handing out gifts in perfect character- not a detail was missed. And as an added bonus, Santa did awesome magic tricks! We will be having this Santa Claus join us for years to come!
Thank you again from us all!!

Ten Reasons Why You Should Invite The Silly Magician to Your Next Party
Number 10 – He’s silly and will make you laugh.
The Silly Magician can find the funny bone on everyone. His crazy antics will get even the grumpiest geezer giggling and having fun.
Number 9 – Entertaining children is his specialty.
While other magicians aspire to work in Vegas, local nightclubs, on cruise ships or at corporate conventions, Mike’s passion is working with kids. With years of experience as a family entertainer, he knows exactly what makes kids tick and what tickles kids.
Number 8 – He provides good and fun family entertainment.
There’s enough racy entertainment out there to make even a hardened criminal blush. Don’t worry about that with The Silly Magician because he delivers good clean fun the whole family can enjoy.
Number 7 – All shows are custom tailored for your audience.
Every show the Silly Magician performs is different. Before every show, Mike makes it his business to know how many kids will be at the show and what their ages are. Then he takes the time to plan a program that is age appropriate with illusions that will be appreciated by the entire audience. In other words, you won’t see a string of mind-blowing card tricks at a show for four-year-olds or goofy puppets at a show for pre-teens.
Number 6 – You can relax.
Let’s face it, hosting a party is anything but relaxing. But, for the entire time Mike performs, your guests will be glued to their seats. His wacky character, colorful props, and mystifying illusions will keep the kids completely engaged. Isn’t that what you want, time – to get the lunch ready, put the candles on the cake or just kick off your shoes and rest for a bit?
Number 5 – Plenty of audience participation.
The Silly Magician uses lots of helpers. In addition to featuring the guest of honor, Mike involves everyone in his show, with many volunteers joining him on stage to help in the fun.
Number 4 – No party is too big or too small.
Whether you’re planning a big party in a catering hall or civic center, a company picnic, block party or a small house party with just a few guests, Mike fills the room with magic. For larger venues, The Silly Magician’s show includes big illusions and amplified sound so that even folks in the back of the room can enjoy the magic.
Number 3 – He’ll fool you.
He’s funny for sure, but there are lots of surprises in store for you with the Silly Magician. You just won’t believe your eyes as things appear from nowhere, young ladies float, and the impossible happens.
Number 2 – Satisfaction is guaranteed.
Not many entertainers are confident enough that they are prepared to give a guarantee, but if for any reason you and your guests are not 100% satisfied you don’t pay. It’s that simple.
And finally, the Number 1 reason why you should invite The Silly Magician to your next party…
… His wife has expensive taste.
A Chubby Lad
Like many of today’s great magicians, Mike Maione, The Silly Magician became interested in magic as a young boy. At the early age of nine, Mike made a trip to Tannen’s Magic Shop. There he purchased his first bit of magic, an expensive coin trick. Unfortunately, Mike was a chubby lad who favored frozen treats and accidentally used the coin to buy ice cream. He was so distraught when he discovered his mistake he vowed not to do a magic show until he could control his appetite.
Years of therapy and many diets later, Mike shed his huskie-sized clothes and dove into the mysteries of magic with renewed passion finally to emerge as one of Long Island’s favorite family magicians.
Professional Background and Associations
Mike has been performing as the Silly Magician for over 20 years. He is a past president of the Long Island Mystics, the local chapter of the Society of American Magicians and a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Mike is also a member of the invitation-only 4F magic society and England’s Magic Circle.
In addition, Mike teaches magic and writes about performing magic in several Internet publications for magicians. He has produced several magic effects marketed to the magic community and has lectured magicians in the US and England.
The Parlor of Mystery
Mike is also the founder, main producer and often performs at the Parlor of Mystery in Lindenhurst Long Island. The Parlor of Mystery is a monthly parlor magic show. Magic performed at the Parlor of Mystery does not require expensive, large-scale stage equipment. It is magic performed close to the audience and without a stage. The setting and the magic are intimate. And all shows are modern, funny, grown-up and for grown-up audiences.
