If you like your music loud and rockin' then you've come to the right place. Self IndulGENTS is a three-piece classic rock band with a little bit of a twist. We've done the typical bar-band scene and, frankly, we're sick of hearing the same old crap night after night. We enjoy the classics as much as the next guys but we work hard to avoid the obvious cover band cliches and, instead, bring your something a little unexpected from the bands you love.
We are serious musicians with serious gear. From The Who to U2, Queen to Cage the Elephant, The Beastie Boys to Imagine Dragons. Check out our set list. If you want to bring that kind of rockin' to your next event drop us line.

The Music
A Self IndulGENTS show is a trip through the history of rock and roll. We bring fresh life to some of your favorite classics (how about a punk version of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire") as well as rockin' renditions of more recent songs (how about a heavy "Hey Brother" by Avicci"). Let us know what you like and we'll do our best to accommodate you. Do you like lots of extended guitar solos, we can do that. Keep it tight and straightforward? We can do that too.
The Equipment
The GENTS bring only high-level professional equipment. We have our own 2,400-watt PA and can cover rooms from 25 people to 250. We'll use your lighting system.
Please keep in mind that in order to sound good, high quality musical equipment such as tube amps and acoustic drums need to be played at fairly high levels. We are disciplined and thoughtful when it comes to playing at sound levels that our audience will enjoy but please make sure your venue is appropriate for a live rock and roll performance. There are no refunds for shows stopped because of unhappy neighbors or noise ordinances.
The Timing
Performance beginning and end times will be determined in advance of the show with pricing based on the details. The GENTS will arrive at least one hour before the scheduled start of the show to get our gear set up and running. We start on time and play hard until the end of the show. Generally, we will do three sets of 10-15 songs with a short break between each one. When the show is over we tear down and hit the road.
The Self IndulGENTS
Greg: Drum and Vocals
Chris: Bass and Vocals
Martin: Guitars and Vocals
All of the Gents are veteran musicians, dedicated dads/husbands, hard working professionals and music lovers. We play rock and roll because we love it and because we enjoy having a great time with cool people.
A Self IndulGENTS show requires the following...
Stage: Be sure there is adequate space for a proper show. There are only three of us but we need to move around some to provide you the show you deserve. Please know the dimensions of your stage area and let us know when we are discussing the terms of the show.
Power: A good rock and roll show requires lots of clean power. Please be sure there are at least three separate outlets with enough juice to power the amps and PA systems. If the event is outdoors make sure there are at least two separate circuits feeding the stage power. There is no refund for shows that are stopped for inadequate power.
Lighting: Stage lighting is not included in a Self IndulGENTS show unless specifically arranged in advance. Please make sure there is safe, adequate lighting for the stage area and the audience. If you would like us to provide our own light show we are happy to do so but this must be arranged in advance and is a part of the pricing.
