The Score is a cocktail of many musical influences that encourage you to dance, hold your glass high or even occasionally bang your head. From the 70's, jam bands to southern rock, Motown to the 80's, funk and even a touch of modern and hard rock, each member brings a different flavor to the band. The band has played private parties, weddings, a successful Hurricane Katrina benefit, the Relay for Life Cancer benefit and a NEA teacher's retirement rally at the Connecticut Capital Building that was covered by the news media and attended by 2000 people. Currently, we are playing in several fine establishments where we have cultivated a loyal and growing base of friends. Over the past few years, The Score has branched out and played outdoor events and town plazas around the area. So don't be shy- put on those dancin' shoes! Come on out and join the fun!

Influences and inspiration
Each member has their own influences which meld into our take on popular cover songs!
Tommy was influenced by R & B and Disco, which was enhanced by his time touring with major acts like Donna Summer, Sister Sledge, Jeffery Osbourne and many others. He is a true veteran of the CT music scene working in the past with such bands like Party Line and Groove Time. Tommy is a coveted fill-in drummer that works regularly around the tri-state area.
Jeremy has been a huge Parrothead and a Tower of Power fan, while also getting into some of the best classic rock from the 70's. He has been in bands like DeNovo, The BlackBurns and The Falcon Five. Jeremy also loves to do Karaoke and he has entered several competitions.
Matt has been influenced by hard rock and heavy metal bands of the 70's and 80's, and while we don't often play much from here, that music is near and dear to his heart. Matt also loves the blues and classic rock bands like The Who and even some modern rock music and flamenco. He has been in the Falcon Five as well as with East Hartford's Bored of Education, playing bass, guitar, and the occasional mandolin.
Aaron is a true musician, music educator and multi-instrumentalist who appreciates all styles and eras of music that grooves, but he has a special love for the 90's. Aaron is also the keyboardist/ lead guitarist for the Punchbowl Astronauts, a modern rock outfit as well as several other outfits.
Tom loves his Jazz, standards and R & B/ classic and soft rock from the 70's. He's also a huge Tower of Power fan and really appreciates good brass sounds.
Evan is a music educator and a longtime pro that loves all music from fusion to rock, he's a big Beatles guy too! Evan is a member of several other outfits including the Falcon Five, The BlackBurns and Fuse.
We come from many different directions, but always meet up to make great music!
Setup requirements
A reliable power source that isn't drawing from a single circuit is the most basic need.
A reasonable way to load in and out, with on site parking.
Other requirements vary, but we are pretty open to playing in a variety of settings
If outside, overhead cover with side protection to ensure safety and preservation of our equipment. In cases of extreme weather, a contingency plan is desired.
