The Saxman
Overview
I've been playing saxophone for many years. I play in a full band and separately in a trio, performing in clubs, restaurants, at private parties. I play dance music, classic rock, pop and R&B. In addition I specialize in subbing in cover bands, as well as offering my sax playing with existing bands that want a fuller sound.
I can also play with a DJ to enhance dance and party music. My skills include sax solo improvisation, fills and reading charts. Very short notice is needed for me to join a band. All I would need is a setlist and wouldn't necessarily need to rehearse. My sax playing services are either solo, with a DJ, with my trio or my full band depending upon your needs.

About
I began playing clarinet early on in elementary school taking lessons and eventually started playing tenor and alto saxes in junior high, joining the Jazz / Dance band in high school. I was a good sight reader and eventually learned to play by ear. I played in my first club band in my 20's, stopped when I got married and had a family, then picked it up again years later joining classic rock, pop and dance bands along the way.

Music from the 60's through today are our influences. Classic rock, pop and dance music. Anything from Gloria Gaynor, Donna Summers, Elton John, Bon Jovi, Credence Clearwater, Van Morrison, etc.
