As a rockabilly band, we come dressed the part. Think greaser, pinup, vintage fashion. Perfect for a themed party, or for a rocking good time. We have covers and originals all with that old-school rock and roll feel. We provide a full PA system if required. We can provide music between sets and a wireless microphone, if needed, for announcements, etc. If the venue is outdoors, we also provide our own 10'x10' canopy, making us ready for all situations.
Started on the sun-drenched shores of St. Thomas, USVI and relocated to the beautiful beaches of St. Pete/Clearwater, The Rum Syndicate is a high-energy trio that plays all your favorite rockabilly, surf rock, originals, swing, and danceable covers with their unique spin. They have played venues and festivals throughout Florida and the Caribbean like Foxy's JVD, St. Thomas Texas Society of the Virgin Islands Chili Cook-off, John's Pass Seafood Festival, Pepper Fest, Tiki Fever, Tarpon Springs Seafood Festival, and so many more.
Lead guitarist and frontman Tommy August has played with multiple artists in various genres. He brings his unique guitar stylings and energetic performances every single show. Tommy and bassist Mimi de Seda have played together for nearly 15 years. Mimi picked up bass for The Rum Syndicate in 2016 and hasn't looked back. Her grooving bass lines, powerhouse vocals, and fun harmonies will definitely keep a crowd entertained. Drummer Wyatt Bowman is the band's most recent addition, rounding out the trio on drums. With an extensive touring background, he knows how to play to the crowd while keeping the rhythms going.
