The Resistors have a large song base that can be molded to the preferences of a particular event: solid blues, Rock, Southern Rock, Country, Jazz and/or any combination of these. Phil Sullivan- Band Leader has had the band for nearly 20 years and was previously on tour for 8 years in US and Canada. Bill Encke- is a jazz specialist and known to be the best in the area. Marty Raymon plays lead guitar with specialty area in Rock. Colleen Nielsen bring more of a country feel with incorporation of Banjo, mandolin and violin for a unique sound in this band. Gerry Reed has played with many local bands and plays a solid bass that matches the band's unique sound. Large performances have been for Galena Oktober Fest, Stockton 4th of July, Jo Daviess County Fair, Millville Bike rally and upcoming Beofwulf Biker Ralley.

Based out of the Tri state area of Northwest IL, Southwest Wisconsin and Northeast Iowa, the Resistors has played in these 3 corners for nearly 20 years. Phil Sullivan- Band Leader/Drummer/vocals, Bill Encke- guitar/bass/vocals, Colleen Nielsen- banjo/mandolin/violin/vocals, Marty Raymon- guitar/vocals and Gerry Reed- Bass/vocals. A wide variety of music selections that often surprises and delights listeners who appreciate good music. A "resistorized" touch to old favorites.
We have the capability of providing our own sound and lighting from small indoor performance to large outdoor events. Currently using In Ear monitor systems to decrease equipment on stage.
